[ Well, here we have a username that hasn't been seen on the network in a while. The video itself is, alas, distorted at the moment. It seems the device itself is being moved rather quickly from hand to hand. ]

[ And then there's Peggy Carter and a native nurse who has apparently made the mistake of trying to open and hold the device for her. It's enough to get her chased out as the woman struggles to sit up. On her way out, the nurse does take a few bloodied bandages with her. ]

Well, turns out one can get promoted in their absence.

[ She holds up a file of pages, apparently her new job description. ]

Is it too much to hope that my house is still intact?

[There's a voice and a face he hadn't allowed himself believe he'd see again. But his relief and happiness is quickly distracted by the sight of the bloody bandages. Despite her calmness he can't disguise the concern in his voice or face.]

Peggy? Are you alright?

[ Her whole body hurts, spine and hip and neck but she sits a little straighter, anyway, pushing her body up, pressing her elbows to the mattress just so she can look at him. hell, she knew but seeing him catches her unprepared, still. All her plans have gone so terribly wrong as of late. I he had been there, what would he say? so much of what she had tried to do was inspired by him and yet here she is with nothing but a painful failure to show for. ]

Quite alright, Captain.

Steve. It's good to see you again.

[His brows raise slightly when she addresses him by rank, but he doesn't question it, still far more focused on her state. He can tell that more may be wrong then what appears obvious in the way she moves. Pain makes movement slower, stilted.]

It's good to see you too.

[Seeing her again would never be unwelcome.]

Your Avengers have been keeping me in sweets.

[ Your she says. Honestly, the very need of a name for a team is odd and she is entirely sure it wasn't Steve's idea but Tony's. and yet, she places the blame on him, the only one who might recognize the amusement in her tone. ]

Ice cream and caramel blondies, not a bad combination.

[Steve isn't adverse to naming things. There had been his team in the war, after all, named the Howling Commandos. Whether Steve had anything to do with the name or if it had been a group effort for a bunch of guys bored between missions is anyone's guess.

He doesn't mind taking the blame for the Avengers though. Fury and SHIELD might have been responsible for bring them together, but the Avengers have taken on a life for their own for a long time now. He's happy to be able to call it his own again.]

As long as it's not going against the doctor's orders, I'll make sure they know it's appreciated. [There's a hint of humor in his tone as well.] But what about more practical needs? A change of clothes?

[He feels bad that he hadn't kept track of what happened to her things after her disappearance.]

[ Trust the man to offer her something she could use rather than sweets and hard liquor. She'll be the first to admit she desperately needs a change of clothes, assuming hers are still in place. ]

With some luck, no one has taken over my house. There's a spare key in the garden, you'll have to do a little digging beneath what's left of the rose bushes.

[ she smiles. ]

How good are you at matching colors, Rogers?

[While he's never been to her house, he did at one point get an address for it back before she'd left the Quarantine. He'd never gotten a chance to use the information before she left and after she was gone it seemed pointless. But he still remembers it. Now, at least, the information seems to be serving a purpose.]

I don't think anyone has, but it's worth checking regardless. Even if someone has moved in, they might not have emptied out your things yet. [In which case he would collect everything for her.]

Good enough that my mother allowed me to dress myself by the time I was nine.

[He smiles back.]

I'll resist the call of the red, white, and blue. Don't worry.

I don't much mind it.

[ She says and her features soften just so. She has combined the three in the past, so much is implied. She doesn't say so outright but Steve Rogers, she knows, has never had much of a problem with inferring. A moment later, she clears her throat. ]

Anything but this hospital gown. It's all I have and it won't do once I leave this place.

[His eyes widening just slightly is the first indication that he caught that implication. And then he smiles. It's a combination he's sure would look quite good on her.]

I'll go now and see what I can put together for you. Will you need shoes as well?

[ For all that has changed, he still remains an open book to her during some moments. It's a comforting though, Steve is very much here and he offers the same stable comfort he always did. ]

[After signing off, Steve heads immediately to Peggy's house and follows the directions he's been given. Everything runs smoothly as it appears that her house and her things haven't been touched since her departure. Within an hour he's gathered up a set of garments that he believes will suit her: a simple skirt and blouse combo in complimentary colors, as well as a pair of simple heels. He bases his choices on what he remembers of her dressing style.

When he finally enters her room not long after he has her clothes folded carefully over one arm, with the heels hanging off two fingers of his opposite hand.]

I tried to go for both practical and comfortable, but I'll let you be the judge of how well I did.

[He moves over to the bed, setting the clothes down at the foot of it.]
