[ Well, here we have a username that hasn't been seen on the network in a while. The video itself is, alas, distorted at the moment. It seems the device itself is being moved rather quickly from hand to hand. ]

-- bloody well doing alright by myself.

[ And then there's Peggy Carter and a native nurse who has apparently made the mistake of trying to open and hold the device for her. It's enough to get her chased out as the woman struggles to sit up. On her way out, the nurse does take a few bloodied bandages with her. ]

Well, turns out one can get promoted in their absence.

[ She holds up a file of pages, apparently her new job description. ]

Is it too much to hope that my house is still intact?

[Well, that's new, it's the first time she's heard of someone coming back, never mind coming back with a promotion. So she wants to ask questions, but for now she just settles for:]

[ she points out, she reminds her but there is a tired smile laced in her voice, she hardly minds. ]

And lucky you, it's quite alright. We haven't met before, have we?

[ she'd like to think she could remember voices. ]

[Alex has a thing for remembering impressive ladies, okay?]

I'm Alex. Alex Reagan, I've been here for about eight months now.

Peggy Carter.

[ god, it's such a relief not to be recognized, known, acknowledged. With some people, she almost feels like she's an open book. It's easier with strangers. She's come to hope that her name might mean nothing. It'll be a welcome change. ]

That's quite a lot of time, miss Reagan. How have you been spending it?

And I've been doing a fair amount of investigating things, actually. I'm a reporter for the news service.

[ that could be helpful. ]

What are you looking into, at the moment?

Yep. With some assistance from friends, we found out who set off the magical and technical virus last month.

Right now, I'm looking into the cult that kidnapped a whole lot of us, and trying to see if we missed any or if the conspiracy goes deeper than what we thought it would.

[mannerism]

Do you have any information about that? Some that I could look into?

[ asking intel from a reporter, the nerve of this one. ]

I wouldn't have asked, only I fear I've missed out on quite a lot. Any reading materials over the kidnapping and the cult would be essential.

I can send you along what I have so far, but when you get out of the hospital and back to the Guard, they've probably got better resources than I do on it. Unfortunately, I was abducted in the middle of my investigation so I just have what I started with and what I saw where we were kept.

The Cult was attempting to bring back ghosts and put them in our bodies, which sounds completely insane until you realize where we are.

[There may be a bit of humor in her voice at that.]

A cult of natives?

[ This is all terribly new. ]

They have never been anything but kind, I always thought the day would come when we see the less favorable side of them. Is there any point in asking the natives who aren't trying to kill us if they can elaborate on this Cult?

As far as I can tell, the police rounded everyone up who was involved. I haven't been able to find anyone else who knew about it, on or off the record.

But unfortunately, this isn't the first time that one of the natives did something against us. I mean, it's just one or the small group; most of them are glad we're here but two months ago now, someone created a magical/tech virus and infected over half the community.
