[ Well, here we have a username that hasn't been seen on the network in a while. The video itself is, alas, distorted at the moment. It seems the device itself is being moved rather quickly from hand to hand. ]
-- bloody well doing alright by myself.
[ And then there's Peggy Carter and a native nurse who has apparently made the mistake of trying to open and hold the device for her. It's enough to get her chased out as the woman struggles to sit up. On her way out, the nurse does take a few bloodied bandages with her. ]
Well, turns out one can get promoted in their absence.
[ She holds up a file of pages, apparently her new job description. ]
Is it too much to hope that my house is still intact?

Quite alright, simply in need of an evening of rest.
[ probably more than an evening but like hell she'd admit it. ]
Thank you.

[A beat]
How did you get hurt?
no subject
An unfortunate accident, I fear.
[ an easy lie but then, she's rather not talk about the woman who pushed her down on the rebar, especially not to someone so young. ]
They say I should be able to leave tomorrow.
no subject
Oh, that's good! But, you still shouldn't push yourself, you may wind back in bed and have a longer time to recover.
[There's a beat before she realizes she didn't introduce herself.]
I'm Lucy, Lucy Mills. What's your name?
no subject
[ what does it say about her life that a child is more reasonable than her? words of wisdom, those are. If only Peggy could listen to them. There's a shade of a smile to her voice when she introduces herself, ]
Peggy Carter, nice to meet you.
no subject
There's a grin on her face when she replies back.]
Nice to meet you too, Miss Carter--Or...is it Mrs? Do you prefer Peggy?
And...your accent...are you...British? [Assuming they have such a thing in her world.]
no subject
[ God help her, she's as far from marriage as possible at this point. ]
Yes, you're quite right. Hampstead, as it were. Quite close to London. And yourself? Not British, of course.
[ of course, she has to like a child who pays attention to details. ]
no subject
[Well, she doesn't know! At least she's being polite, trying to make her family proud and stuff.]
Oh wow! I've always wanted to go there--I mean, I heard it's really nice.
Me? ..Uhh....do you want to know where I was before? Or where I'm from originally?
no subject
[ she's a curious little one, isn't she? ]
Originally. American, I assume?
no subject
Actually....no. The answer may surprise you.
I'm from a world where fairy tales are actually real, and not just stories in books. The world I'm from is called the Enchanted Forest.
...And okay, it sounds silly, but it's true.
