It seems someone felt it appropriate to put some sort of concoction in my tea. While not completely debilitating I find the results, irritating.

I'd appreciate it if someone happened to know exactly what idiotic concoction of the month is supposed to cause color blindness. Complete color blindness.

[There's a grumble after a few seconds.]

Because of course, this place would do something this stupid.

Jeff? Ah, yes, the bard. I spoke with him, but not until recently. I've been too busy for lessons of any sort.

That's true, and while I am interested in learning how to cook, I am more interested in making sure that my career is viable before I do something that isn't absolutely necessary.

It is, but I've also recently inherited a nightclub from someone who returned to their home.

[So, what little free time she had before is now gone.]

Is that something you actually want to do?

It's something I've never done before, but I'm not against it. Especially not when I can perform while I'm there as well.

[She'll never have to worry about having to book a venue again.]

Are you certain you'll be able to when you're also running it?

There are still employees. They didn't all quit when the previous manager left. In fact, he was a DJ there before he left, so I'm fairly certain that it is possible. Just more work.

Thank you, I think. It keeps me busy, but I'm doing what I like and that's important to me.

[She'll accept the compliment after the fact that he pretty much shoved her off on someone else rather rudely the first time for asking a question. Not that she even blames him for that either.]
