To those who are interested, a mission has been issued to take care of the chalice currently stuck in the portal. I've formulated a plan, but I require assistance.
[In the video feed, Tieria addresses the network with a serious expression. Though he thinks the whole situation with the chalice is ridiculous, he's still choosing to involve himself. He's been restless from too much free time and too little direction since he arrived, so when given the chance to do something familiar and productive, it's only natural for him to take it.]
There are two apparent options: destroy it, or push it back through the portal. Taako claims that only a god can destroy it, so unless one is present, our most likely option is to send it back.
It is unknown how much force, or even what kind, is needed to accomplish that. Based on what we do know, I propose we try two separate attempts, one with kinetic force and one with magic, to see if the chalice responds to either. I have the kinetic approach covered, though I need a Parameter Guard that isn't in training to supervise. For the magical approach...
[He's still coming to terms with the fact that magic even exists, but trying to deny it will only impede the mission.]
Since there isn't any magic where I'm from, someone trained in that subject is needed to cover that part of the operation.
Contact me if you are able to help.

Other than hopefully preventing any further changes, I don't know. You'll have to ask yourself.

Can you tell me more about your training?
no subject
I was originally self-taught, but I ended up having numerous teachers throughout time.

[He has to admit to some curiosity that's unrelated to the mission at hand.]
How long have you been using it?

God! Hello, I'm a god, right here! Supremely eager to help, too.

I was not aware we had a god here.
[And he doesn't entirely believe that claim, either, but it's worth the shot in the dark.]
Do you have any abilities that you could use to destroy the chalice?

[He never paid much attention to religion, but aren't gods supposed to have some sort of divine power? ]
Though if you only have some useful information or experience, I won't turn that down.

[ There's no 'should be' in front of that able, not after she and Taako went to investigate the portal and chalice situation. ]
And, if I may, I think it would be wiser to first attempt to send the chalice back through the portal. The chalice is an object of immense power and the portal the same by its very function and obvious ability. If we destroy the chalice in the portal's vicinity, who's to say the portal and Riverview's populace won't be further affected in some dramatic way? Potentially irreversibly?
no subject
[And that's assuming he can not only find an actual god, but one with power destructive enough.]
However, you do have a good point; I'll prioritize sending it back.
[It's a reasonably request attached to a decent argument, one he had thoughtfully listened to, so he sees no harm in adjusting his plans to accommodate her advice.]
What kind of magical training and experience do you have, and what additional help can you offer?
no subject
[ And while she thinks she's been getting better at explaining it for having to turn it over in her head so often, that doesn't mean it's any less odd. Still. ]
My people possess the innate ability to Hear the Great Music, which is the music of all things. Blessings of the air allow us to weave our own music into the Great Music, producing magick. Simply living is an exercise in bettering ourselves in our craft as we tune our ears and work to better distinguish that which we Hear. Most Nemedians learn largely by doing, by strengthening and honing their voices, and I am no exception. I've been doing magick since I could utter a sound more than like.
I've experience in a number of magickal disciplines. The Elemental disciplines could prove useful in this situation, but I'd think telekinesis would be a more practical spell to utilize in attempting to remove the chalice from the portal directly to start. Ordinarily, I'd be given to suggesting a more explosive approach, but I'd like to take some care in how we interact with both objects given their natures.
[ As much as it pains her to be taking a page from Áed's tome, so to speak, she can admit to a wiser course and after talking to Taako and investigating the thing, she thinks this is it. Pausing, she gives her right ear a tap once, twice. ]
My Hearing would serve us well in this endeavor. The portal and chalice are distinct entities that produce their own unique music, which I am able to distinguish and observe. I can observe their reactions to our attempts to send the chalice back through the portal and may be able to glean some information so as to better help us in our task.

[It's the last part that really catches his attention; with no way to monitor either object himself, he's left with using trial and error to try and send it back. But if she could provide not only an analysis, but a live analysis, it could improve their chance of success and expedite the whole mission.]
That, and I'd also like you to be present at each attempt in order to provide data. As I mentioned, our knowledge is limited and I'm unsure what kind of force would work best, so any input you could provide would be invaluable.

(She's sorry to have to deliver this information; her forehead is pressing into her hand, hiding her face from view. Not this shit again.)
At least, not in a traditional sense.
Re: video, @scholiast
[He frowns, and while it's obvious she seems to be in some kind of distress, he doesn't seem interested in acknowledging it.]
Nothing about this situation is traditional, but if you know a way to destroy it, tell me.
no subject
(She sighs, propping her elbows up on the table so she can gesture with her hands, frowning.)
It's not so much about the chalice itself, but rather what is inside of it. If you wanted to destroy it, the light of creation would first have to be removed and... I could do that, if I only had my staff with me.
The best course of action is to push it back through the portal.
no subject
[Even if it led to some permanent damage, that's still preferable to leaving the chalice where it is.]
You seem to know a lot about the chalice; have you dealt with it before?
