[When the feed flicks on, Thor's face engulfs it before he notes to move it back a little more. He's alright with technology, but not great.]

Hello. [He says, and he needs to pause because he feels like he's talking to himself.]

In amongst recent.. events, I thought it might be of some use to offer training in strength and combat. We are well protected, to be sure, but a new start in life can be enriched with new skills. If you are interested in learning, I can make myself available.

And on that note- [The camera shifts as he stands, and he swivels it to pan over a sad, indoor collection of potted plants. All in varying states of death. It's a horror movie for plant-based life forms.]

In the interest of learning new skills, I have begun to garden. I am aware it has not gone to plan. [He swivels the camera back to himself, unimpressed.]

I need a hardy plant, one that can withstand my novice abilities. I've no care for something pretty, I just want it to live. [The saddest request he's ever made, he's sure.]

If you have experience in this area, I'd be interested to know why my plants have made a murderer of me. I can provide coffee for your services.

[ Ah, gardening. Yuuto is barely a novice himself, having only aided a friend with her own gardening on the school roof back home when she needed it. He's picked up very little, hardly enough assist someone who clearly needs it.

So he's no help there, but it's the first portion of his video that catches Yuuto's attention. ]

What types of combat do you know?

[ It isn't that Yuuto is completely useless fighting wise—he does have experience. But when he's trying to put on the image of a normal teenager, it may be suspicious that he knows how to take on something should the time ever arise (such as those huge... bird things that threatened the city weeks ago), and he can't switch to his phantom thief persona in front of someone. At least if he could say he got lessons from someone... not to mention, he isn't against seeing if he could pick up a new trick or two. ]

Hand to hand, primarily. I can also teach you to wield weapons, but admittedly Asgardian weapons differ greatly from the ones people from Earth may be accustomed to.

[Thor raises a brow.] Are you familiar with a particular type?

Not at all. [ That's his story and he's stickin' to it. ] But it's always good to know what's available. Hand-to-hand sounds like it could be—well, handy.

[ Ha ha. ]

What makes an Asgardian weapon different?

[ Supernatural bs may be a normal occurrence in his life these days, but things such as gods are certainly a new concept for him. ]

[His joke earns him a scoff, but Thor's expression is not particularly impressed.]

It's what some would call magic, primarily. [It never gets easier to explain.] Less bullets and more... [He gestures, vaguely.] Electricity. Lazers.

[ Magic—okay, he gets that. It's weird to see it so openly spoken of, though, and that it can... exist outside of what he's familiar with (not that anyone ever called it magic, but maybe it kind of is? Persona are strange). Either way, the concept isn't totally beyond Yuuto. ]

Gotcha—though I'll have to pass on electricity and lasers for sure. I've barely touched normal weapons as it is.

Fortunately for you, the hammer is for my use and my use alone. [He's not letting just anyone put their paws on it.]

Hand to hand combat is primarily what I will offer. We may find the chance to practice with traditional weapons, but we can take it one step at a time. I can make myself available, depending on your schedule.

One step at a time, of course—can't rush something like that. My schedule's also pretty open these days... When's convenient for you?

Mornings are best, nights are when I am on call or patrol. We shall start as easily as you like, but there's no learning without challenge.

Mornings it is, then. [ He nods once. ] We don't have to start that easy, either. I like to think I'm a little tougher than that.
