[When the feed flicks on, Thor's face engulfs it before he notes to move it back a little more. He's alright with technology, but not great.]

Hello. [He says, and he needs to pause because he feels like he's talking to himself.]

In amongst recent.. events, I thought it might be of some use to offer training in strength and combat. We are well protected, to be sure, but a new start in life can be enriched with new skills. If you are interested in learning, I can make myself available.

And on that note- [The camera shifts as he stands, and he swivels it to pan over a sad, indoor collection of potted plants. All in varying states of death. It's a horror movie for plant-based life forms.]

In the interest of learning new skills, I have begun to garden. I am aware it has not gone to plan. [He swivels the camera back to himself, unimpressed.]

I need a hardy plant, one that can withstand my novice abilities. I've no care for something pretty, I just want it to live. [The saddest request he's ever made, he's sure.]

If you have experience in this area, I'd be interested to know why my plants have made a murderer of me. I can provide coffee for your services.

[The feed reveals a blonde woman staring at Thor with curiosity, as if assessing his offer. She herself is not defenseless or without her own set of skills; throughout her years of being a cop, she's become proficient with a gun and has taken down men twice her size in hand-to-hand combat. Yet when placed in a whole new world that was supposedly infested with monsters, that may not entirely be enough.

It wouldn't hurt to ask question, anyhow.]

I'm afraid I don't know much about plants, so I wouldn't be much help there. Mind if I ask what kind of strength and combat training you're offering?

No matter, I've no need for an even trade.

[Thor shrugs, then smiles.] Hand to hand, primarily. Building physical strength through physical activity. The weapons I use are more.. traditional than most people are used to, but they're practical when you are without a gun.

What kind of weapons?

I've got some experience with hand-to-hand already, but I wouldn't say I'm an expert. Not with the kind of creatures they say are out there, anyhow. Or the weird things being thrown through the portal.

Swords, axes, hammers.. [He trails off.]

There are unanticipated creatures out there, it certainly wouldn't hurt to get some practice. It would do me no harm to spar against someone with experience, for that matter.

Tell you what. You leave the swords, axes and hammers out of it, and you have a new sparring partner. Maybe we could show each other a thing or two.
