Consider this a little public service announcement, and my good deed for the day.

[At first it’s just Stephen Strange, looking even more like a magic hobo than he usually does, before he moves the feed to focus on a mini-fridge sitting in the corner of the communal kitchens and wouldn’t be anything to comment on if not for the heavy chains wrapped around it keeping the door shut, or the padlock that really looked like overkill.]

If you see this fridge here, missing its padlock or even worse open and I’m not already there dealing with it? I recommend either finding me, or a flamethrower immediately.

[The mini-fridge, which had been sitting quietly until this point started to shake, the sound of something inside smacking against the door making the chains around it rattle. Stephen came into view just long enough to smack the top of the fridge with the handle of a broom which seemed to startle whatever was inside into silence again.]

It should be in the floor 5 kitchen so if it’s not, even if it’s still locked, you’re going to want to come get me and I’ll deal with it.

And if you value your continued good health don’t eat anything that comes out of this thing.

Have you put up any wards to fend them off ahead of your noticing their arrival, should they venture here?

Working on it. It takes a bit longer, I'm starting from scratch spellwise here.

[Because of course that's his luck. Can you tell how annoyed he is Loki? Because he's really fucking annoyed.]

Er, [ squinting, ] what do you mean, starting from scratch?

The group I told you about? They've burned so much magic out, and destroyed so many artifacts and source locations that a good 95 percent of spells simply don't work anymore, even if you lucked out and found a bit of magic left in the world to begin with.

They're still not working here, so I've got to design spells to work using this world's magic.

[ Ah. Not a problem for Loki, whose magic is so chaotic in nature it tends to work anywhere, anytime, tied to nothing in particular save the godling's will. ]

You need help with that?

Might make things go faster with help, not going to lie. At this point I've got to learn what I can about this world's magic. Any information you can dig up would make it easier.

[ Part of him is eager to feed Stephen information that can be easily tampered with, while another part urges Loki to do the decent thing and prove he can be trustworthy. Both incentives are strong ... but for the sake of keeping an ally in the same apartment he shares with the Avengers? He can play nice. ]

It'd be appreciated. Sooner I've got the background info, the sooner I can be up and running again.

[The idea that Loki might try and trick him had occurred to him. But at the same time he didn't have a lot of options, and the god was smart enough to know good information when he saw it.

And besides, how could he expect Loki to be willing to try and work with them on the living situation if no one was willing to try and give him a chance to prove he could play nice?]
