[The video opens on a rather ecstatic looking face, the Devil seemingly pleased beyond all measure as he stands in what appears to be an abandoned club.]

Hello, hello, you lovely duckies, you. Lucifer, here, and I'm thrilled to be able to share the news that through whatever means that I'm not currently questioning, my bar's wound up being sucked through that lovely portal. Or something. Not too sure on the specifics, but again, not questioning. To anyone who noticed a rather tall building appear, that'd be mine. Well, it is now. Papers signed and everything. Ladies and gentlemen... and others, welcome to Lux.

[There was a moment where he paused and turned the camera around, showing the interior of Quarantine's newest posh bar, then the screen was back on him and his too-pleased smile.]

While I'd love to open it as is, since everything including top shelf alcohol seems to have come through with it, I'm a bit short on staff. And by short I mean completely bereft. So, if anyone's interested in bartending, dancing, or finding another occupation that may be needed here, do please contact me. My new quarters will be in the Penthouse -- which reminds me, there's scads of floors here that are free, so I'm leasing space as well to anyone who's of a need. I'm sure there's a deal to be made for anyone interested.

[Have a very shocked, wide-eyed Chloe staring at you, Lucifer. And the entire building that's apparently flung through space and time to find you.

Incredulously,]

Lux. Lux came through the portal. An entire building.

[ He's not all that surprised after one of the sanctums showed up through the portal. If anything, he's wondering what will turn up next, at this rate. While the bar itself feels tempting, it's the mention of floors being leased that grabs his attention the most. He would definitely appreciate having some privacy again. ]

What kind of a deal?

[ He is the Devil, after all. ]

[Wasn't it wonderful? His building had to come find him and now he had a proper bed. A proper bed, Chloe.]

Look for yourself, love. You're familiar enough with it. It's up on the North side of the city. Near that lovely posh hotel. It even picked the perfect area to appear in.

[He seemed giddy over it.]

And everything's all to rights upstairs, too. All of it.

I've never failed to find something to suit both parties. It can be financial, if that's what you'd prefer. Or I.O.Us. I'm sure we can come to some arrangement. What exactly are you looking for?

[Oh, she sees it. The bed is currently the last thing on her mind because an entire building and everything inside it somehow landed right where he would find it and with perfect structural integrity.]

How's that even --

[Nope. Nope. Bringing it back in.]

No, you know what? I'm just gonna run with it. Lux is here. Because of course it is.

Everything's as it should be. I was just thinking how I missed it -- and my pianos. And now here they are and I've even got space to rent out. Isn't it lovely?

Come over.

[She's still staring and she's still entirely discombobulated by this entire turn of events, but his abrupt request and utter joy at having his home back shakes her out of it. A small smile rises to her lips.]

Right now?

Mm, right now. We can break it in. Bang out a few tunes down here and then take it upstairs?

Wow. It's almost as if you'd specially crafted that innuendo just for this occasion.

[Said in a humorous tone. And she would like to see Lux, if only to prove that it's actually here and not some strange part of her imagination making it up.]

Alright. I'll be over in a bit. Text me the address?

I.O.Us? Like some kind of Godfather arrangement?

[ But would he actually do a favor for the Devil? ]

One or two bedrooms. Doesn't have to be anything fancy. Just wanting to get away from communal housing.

If that's to your liking, and if there's something you could owe that would equal the favor.

Why don't you come by later, mm? We can take a look at what's available. I haven't really gone through most of them by myself. Just had the two that were mine and the rest of the building used to belong to some other chap. I'm sure we can find something fitting for you.

Darling, I've had ages to think of terrible things to say involving you and me and a piano.

[He laughed, but he was already sending her the address via his phone, smiling as he hit send.]

I'll get out a bottle of the bubbly. I'd say this calls for a celebration, mm? I'll see you, love.

[ He breathes out a laugh at that. Just as he thought, he doesn't like the sound of that. ]

Might just stick to negotiating a price. I work at the hospital so I've got income.

[ Not as much as he used to but it's better than nothing. ]

When would be a good time for you?

[Her phone buzzed, alerting her to his text. Lucifer would be able to see her standing in a small flurry of motion, already starting her trek over. He's usually got some good cheer to him, almost a manic kind of glee, but she knows how important Lux is to him. Seeing him happy makes her happy, too, especially when she can share that with him, no matter how weird it is.]

Mm, see you. And Lucifer? I'd better not see you lying naked on that piano when I get there.

[She clicks the feed off before he can respond, and off she goes. He should expect to see her soon. It's not too far away from where she is.]

Now? I've someone coming over in a bit who'll take up most of my time, so the earlier the better. Name your drink preference and we can have a glass while chatting over business.

Now? Alright. Give me a few...

[ He'll have to rewatch the video but he's sure he can open a portal where the bar is. ]

Got any tea?

[ He does have a hankering for some scotch but he doesn't want to drink while negotiating. ]

[There's an eyeroll, but Lucifer's thinking ahead.]

Upstairs, I believe. We can detour there or end up there if you'd like. I suppose it depends on which floor you'd like to rent.

Alright. I'll be there soon. Meet you in the bar?

I'm already here. Door's open.

[He was already slipping out of his suit and setting up a bucket of champagne. She would not see him lying naked on the piano, but instead, casually leaning against it, champagne bucket strategically placed and a single rose in his hand that he was brushing against his lips. This is your life now, Chloe.]

[ Stephen says his goodbyes and portals back over to the communal housing to get his cloak. Once it is secure in his bag, he watches the video again and uses that mental picture to open another portal.

Lucifer will see the golden sparks start at the top of the stairs before swirling into a large ring. Through that steps Stephen. He looks around and once he spots Lucifer, he flicks his wrist and the portal closes just as quickly as it appeared. As he walks down the steps, ]

Thanks for seeing me on such short notice.

[Lucifer watched the sparks, then the now-appearing man, brows raised as the little circle of gold closed after he'd stepped through as if it never was. He found himself smiling at the businesslike attitude of his potential client, coming over to see him with one hand outstretched.]

Not at all. That was an interesting bit of whatever that was. Saves on line-ups, mm?

[He didn't seem the slightest bit bothered by it, more amused than anything as he gestured for Stephan to join him up where the elevator was.]

Now, what were you looking for again? A few rooms of your own? I can attest the place has marvelous soundproofing, so any noise from the club itself won't be an issue, but if you're concerned about it, we can go for one of the higher floors.

[Indeed it is. She's gotten used to him enough to know when he's up to no good. And that he's particularly good at finding loopholes, so while she doesn't expect the sight she's going to see, the fact that he'd have the audacity won't surprise her.

It doesn't take her long to get there, though she takes a few moments before entering. Just taking in the sight of the familiar building -- it obviously is Lux, at least from the outside. Same tall, white building nestled in with the rest of the city sights. Incredible. It's something she'll think on more later, when she's alone and has time to process. That's certainly one for her notes: buildings can travel here too.

But for now she's intent on seeing him and him alone as she strolls inside with a slow gait, eyes caught on the sleek, posh decorations she recognized so intimately. And speaking of intimate, her eyes finally catch sight of him before they drift skyward, as if she needs a moment to collect herself. Or send a silent 'you created this' up to his Father.]

You know, we should really have a conversation about your loopholes. They've gotten way out of hand. The rose is a nice touch, though.

[ He takes the hand offered to him and finds himself smiling in return. ]

And then some.

[ It was actually pretty refreshing to have that kind of reaction. While he wanted to get back home, he was enjoying the freedom he had to be open with his powers. The bonus being there were plenty of other people here that had powers of their own.

He follows easily, arms crossing as he listens. Giving a nod, ]

Glad to hear that. That was going to be one of my first questions, actually. In that case, we can start with the next available floor?

We certainly can. This way.

[Lucifer was far more likely to be incredibly intrigued by any new show of powers than offended or, hah, afraid. Fear wasn't something he was particularly familiar with, and when you'd lived as long as he had, anything new was worth paying attention to. That was what made winding up here so interesting for him. All these new people, new worlds, new deities and realities. What wasn't to like?

He pressed the call button, gesturing for Stephen to precede him when the doors dinged open.]

The layout for the upper floors shouldn't be too dissimilar from here, other than perhaps more walls and less ceiling height than an open concept bar. If you'd like, I've no issue with allowing you access to the whole floor as your own. I know how some people like their space.
