[When Thor switches the camera on, it's momentarily engulfed by his face before he sits himself back. Now that the frame isn't obscured, it's apparent that he's not the only one there. Both Lokis, Angela and Sif sit either side of him, all situated around a booth at some sort of diner.

Thor, naturally, is the first to start talking.]

It has come to light in one way or another that we could be considered Gods. [He's keeping it vague on purpose.] It is true, in a sense, that we are are not unlike higher beings. We are not mortals and we have powers and abilities beyond what many would be considered normal. The myths and the legends, however, are not precisely true.

[He just wanted to clear that up.] As such, we thought it would be prudent to offer our services in times of need. For missions or protections, we can be of use in many situations. You need only ask.

[He says we, but he largely means I.

Angela, for her part, doesn't look as opposed to the idea as she probably could.]

I will add that I will require payment for my services, but that can be negotiated at a later time.

[ She glances around the table at her siblings as if daring them to counter her.

The younger Loki leans into shot, finger raised. ]

Should you require an actual god, we come in that flavour too.

[maybe it will fail spectacularly, maybe it won't. she can't stay here and do nothing while her family needs her in Storybrooke.]

I've just... been through a lot of portals. Sometimes accidentally, sometimes on purpose.

Your reality might be close to other intersections, allowing for portals to occur naturally and with a little boost.

But assumptions about portals, no matter how much you may know is still dangerous.

Well, being stuck here when I'm needed at home is dangerous, too.

[ she'd rather take the risk herself than put it on her family.]

My reality supposedly doesn't have magic beyond the town I live in. And even that was yanked out of another world.

[ Mortals and magic. He forgets how antiquated their beliefs are. ]

Magic is more than simple spell work and having rabbits pop out of hats.

[sheriffing]

Maybe, but as the person tricked into unleashing it, I can only work with what I know.

[ That sounds like a story. If only Loki cared. ]

How do you even unleash magic? Was it in a bottle?

[sheriffing]

There was a vessel, in a dragon. I guess whatever was in it summoned magic from the other world to mine.

[ wasn't much of a story. there was a dragon, she had a sword. she got lucky.]

I was too busy to worry about the details.

[dothelokimotion]

[ . . . Okay then. ]

Dragons tend to do that.

[sheriffing]

Dragons suck.

[there you go, Loki. that's the moral of her useless story.]

[ But amusing all the same. Dragons . . . that's old magic. ]

[sheriffing]

The point is, I know magic is a risk. I've already taken those.

[ so all this talk of her thinking she's gonna pull a rabbit out of her hat, a little unnecessary when she's fought dragons and traveled through portals.]

I'd assume my magic follows the rules of the world I was born in.

[dothelokimotion]

. . . Are you trying to convince me or yourself?

[sheriffing]

Sorry, I forgot that everyone who isn't you is completely incompetent.

I did not say it could not work. But it still sounds like you want some kind of affirmation that I cannot give.

[sheriffing]

I think that if you've used magic, it wouldn't kill you to acknowledge that mine could work differently.

Didn't this start with you offering your services? What's the point of offering if you won't advise in your area of expertise?

[ Loki takes a moment to shoot Thor a dark look. ]

From what I can tell, your power seems to derive from stories. A world of stories if killing a dragon opens a portal. However, having not seen it work here or in person, there's little else I can do. I have given you my expertise and told you what I know.

So, again, I'm not entirely sure what you expect me to do. You wish to take the risk. If that is how you feel, there's little else I can say.

Is all of your knowledge of portals based on how dangerous opening one is?

[ This is getting tiring. While Loki enjoys boasting and his knowledge of treading in between worlds is unique even on Asgard, he's not interested in doing so for this woman with a one-track mind. ]
