Currently, you are graced with a mugshot of one Peter “Space-Duke” Quill and a view of the messier half of his shared apartment. In his hand is his trusty mp3 player – which boasts at least three hundred songs, holy crap, y’all – and while he has one bud in his ear, the other dangles from the wire. ]

So. Apparently if nothing else, this place has, like, all the music ever. So if I’ve gotta be stuck here, might as well make the most of it, right?

I’m on the hunt for somethin’ new. Tryin’ to play a whole lot of catch up. If anyone’s got any music recommendations, I’m all ears. Songs, artists, albums, weird, avant-garde stuff with a guy saying “number nine” over and over – hit me with your best shot. I’ll try anything once.

Also, uh.

[ A pause, and he turns the mp3 player’s face toward the camera. The screen happily displays the album art of The Best of Earth, Wind & Fire, Vol. 1 while “September” plays. Zunes, man!! Aren’t they rad? ]

Don’t suppose anyone here’s familiar enough with this that they can show me how to add stuff?

[ Without looking up from his comm device, he intones in a bright voice, ]

[ Ah. Hang on. Peter’s in the middle of getting a face full of dirty rag. He splutters for a second before tearing the rag away and shouting at someone off screen, ] Oh, real mature, Gamora— [ and chucking it back.

That done, he wipes at his cheek with the back of his free hand and continues on like he wasn’t just interrupted, ]

It’s not even touch-sensitive.

[ Peter’s frowning at his Zune, speaking to someone on his comm device. ]

Like, it’s not even—

[ —and the rag lands squarely in his face. He splutters in disgust, tearing the rag away and glaring at her from across the room. ]

Oh, real mature, Gamora—

[ And he wads it up, chucking it right back at her. He scowls at her for a second longer, wiping at his cheek where a trace amount of monster blood has latched on, before continuing on with his conversation.

... It probably says something about Peter and his relationship with Gamora (and really, any of the other Guardians), that a distraction like that will only waylay him for, like, a second. ]

I think I’ve heard of the Clash before, too. Did they do “Rock the Casbah”?

[ The look on Peter’s face is one of pure agreement. ]

Right? Seriously! It’s like, just slap on thirty more seconds of nonsense, guys. [ He gestures vaguely, Zune in hand. ] You’ve already got a theme going!

Seems like a waste. They could have really had something going for them, then.

I have heard of the band though. They were one of those really really famous ones. I don't know much otherwise.
