Whomsoever is responsible for the rash of memory loss that is sweeping across the quarantine, I demand you step forward and reverse this, now.
[ TWO of her siblings are affected by this; it is unacceptable. ]
Have we not suffered enough, under the thrall of the artifact some months ago? [ She means the Temporal Chalice, which altered the lives and histories of so many here in the quarantine. ] Come forth and answer for your crimes. Reverse this plague and return our city to a state of peace.
[ Or else she'll cut you down where you stand, being the implication. ]

I can understand how this may be distressing, but I somehow doubt who- or what- ever is responsible will come forth in the face of mere threats.
But you say something like this has happened before?
no subject
[ She sighs, but the anger doesn't leave her. ]
Yes, several weeks back. Many of us lived lives that were different from the ones we truly have lived. We had memories of those separate lives, we were... physically changed, in some cases. [ She was missing an arm, for example. She glances down at the restored arm and makes a fist. ]
It was not a pleasant experience.

[ Well that sounds… distressing, and it shows in his expression. ]
What became of the artifact?

She must tread carefully. ]
If you were not your whole self, you would call that "that bad," would you not? Your loved ones certainly would.
[ She purses her lips, a look of grim determination crossing her face. ]
I will find whoever is responsible, and if it is in my power to do so, I will make them reverse the damage they have caused.

I don't really know, to be honest. I've been looking for my sister, but I can't find her. I don't even know how I got here, either. But if you're going to get the bad guys, that would be awesome!
no subject
[ But she does know him... Sort of. ]
We were pulled here from our own worlds through a multidimensional portal. At present, no one knows how to make it send us back. It is likely your sister is not here.

Then I will seek them out where they are hiding.

[ He runs a hand through his hair. ]
Most likely it was some manner of device that came through the portal. Or a contaminant running through the city.
no subject
Then what do you suggest we do?

We don't know if the cause is by someone– [ Or something. ] –who has access to this network... It might be best to try investigating elsewhere.
no subject
[ She'd gone to the network as it is the largest gathering of those brought in by the portal that she knows of. ]

Hm... I'm—not actually sure what could cause widespread memory loss. Maybe another artifact?

... also good luck to him. ]
What happened wasn't intentional on anyone's part. I don't know if you've been keeping up with the developments, but the outbreak was caused by a unique pollen that can be found beyond the wall. I led a team out there in search of a group of scientists a while back— they'd been affected the same way, and we had no idea what had caused it. Inadvertently, we brought along with us some remnants of that pollen, as well as a few samples of the plant, although they were contained safely. It was never my intention to spread that contamination to the Quarantine, and at the time we didn't even know what had caused the memory loss, but for what part I took in it, I am sorry.
[ He pauses, takes a slow breath. ] But it wasn't purposeful. And I would have reversed it immediately if I could, but I don't know how to do that, not yet at least.
( ooc: I am sorry this is so late, you can assume he got back to her whenever the cause of the memory loss was discovered! )
ooc: understood!
She nods, solemn-faced. ]
If this was an officially sanctioned mission, then I accept your apology.
[ If you just went beyond the wall for kicks, then she'll be less inclined to forgive. ]
These scientists you speak of... Have they recovered?
no subject
It was. We went beyond the wall to rescue the team and retrieve some of their research. We thought everything and everyone had been washed and decontaminated properly, but I guess some of the pollen must've made it through without us noticing it.
[ Well he does also go beyond the wall for no good reason at times, but he doesn't really bring back things if he thinks they might be dangerous. ]
Not yet. The last I heard, they were trying to study the cause and find a cure. They'll probably figure something out faster now, with more people affected.
[ He cants his head slightly, remembering her face from elsewhere. ] You're one of the Asgardians, right?
no subject
Technically speaking, yes, I am. Though I do not always align with Asgard.
