[texting because he's not sure where Keith is and if he'll hear him trying to call]

I heard something that has me concerned.

Someone at the masquerade said she used to room with a woman named Allura who fits her description.

She's not here anymore. Which makes me wonder where is she?

ii. OPEN / day after

Question for those who have been here for a while. I was just told by someone that someone I knew named Allura used to be here and that's she's no longer here.

So I wanted to find out, what happens to people who just disappear? Where are they?

It's important that I know.

[Keith just shrugged a little at the first comment, and then...

Hey... someone else signed me up for this thing. You went voluntarily.

[Defensive much?]

[Zero to defensive to five seconds or less. That was Keith. But unlike others, Shiro wasn't so easily put off when Keith got defensive]

It's a joke, Keith. Besides, if you are going to dish it out, you have to be prepared to take it as well.

Yeah... whatever.

[He huffed a little, crossing his arms for a bit.]

So... how does this whole date thing work, anyway? Are we supposed to reach out to them? Or do they need to make the plans because they bought it?

[That sounded so weird.]

[He just looks a little amused at the reaction. Sorry, Keith]

Well, given this is the first time I've been involved in a date auction, I'm not sure the proper etiquette. However, I'd think they should be the one to reach out to you. If you don't hear from her, I'd say check in with her.

[Yeah... look amused, Shiro. Look amused.

Damn it.]

Alright.

[Considering it was Lola? Keith wasn't too worried about her coming to him. They lived on the same floor. He was getting to know her. She was outgoing. Very outgoing.]

I think it'll be okay. She doesn't have any issues approaching people.

Then I don't think you will have a problem there. I probably won't either.

[It was Hana after all. She was definitely forward as well. If she didn't come to him after bidding on him, he would have been surprised]

But I don't think we'll have to worry about that tonight. We can go back to the communal housing and relax while most people are still here.

[Departing early for alone time away from people? Yep]

Yeah... that sounds like a good idea.

[Keith nodded in a agreement. It would be good to take advantage of everyone being 'out' tonight, and finally get some quiet alone time... or maybe just some quiet time with Shiro.]

You mind if I hang out upstairs with you for a while?

[Shiro had less people on his floor, so even longer quiet time.]

[Shiro's definitely up for ignoring the fact that they were living with so many people and having that lack of privacy that came with it]

Of course not. After you get changed out of the suit, you can come on up.

[Since he doubted Keith wanted to hang out with him still dressed in a suit]

[Keith nodded a bit, giving Shiro a small smile.]

Okay, cool.

[It wasn't much further at that point. They got back pretty quickly, and Keith headed off the elevator at his own floor with a quick 'see you later'. Once changed into something definitely not formal... pajama pants and tee shirt... he shoved on a pair of slippers and grabbed a sweatshirt to head upstairs with.

He also rubbed his hands through his hair to loosen it back up into its typical messy, overgrown fluff. After being in the pool, but realizing he still had the auction, Lola had taken it upon herself to tame Keith's hair a little while it was wet, and he managed to behave long enough for the style to stay in place after it dried and keep it for the rest of the evening. But now he was done with that and didn't need it anymore. He'd gotten used to it the way it was, and having it different just felt plain weird.]

[Shiro had gone upstairs after Keith disembarked the elevator, changing out of his own suit and changing to a tee long sleeve shirt (the right sleeve tucked inside his metal arm) and a pair of pajama pants. He had headed out to the kitchen to make tea when Keith arrived, Shiro had standing by the door as he waited for the water]

Hey there.

Hmph... hey.

[He came inside, his hands tucked into the pockets of his sweatshirt, and headed for the couch.]

It feels good to get out of that suit. [He stretched his arms behind his head, and then flopped into the corner seat with a yawn.]

Yeah it does. It's been a while since I've had to do something that required a suit.

[Usually his Garrison jacket was sufficient enough so he didn't have to wear anything else]

Want something to drink?

Sure. Whatever you're having is fine.

[Keith wasn't picky at the moment. It just was nice to relax a bit. He also couldn't help but still be worried about the situation with Allura, but there wasn't much they could do about it tonight. Running off into unfamiliar forests loaded with dangerous and unfamiliar creatures wasn't the best idea. Even Keith could acknowledge that as being a bad idea. They needed more information.]

Tea it is then.

[Shocker there. Shiro making tea. Tea and coffee were his go-tos back on Earth other than plain water. The water kettle started to whistle so Shiro went to pull it and start making two mugs of tea. He poked his head out of the kitchen after a moment]

Anything in it?

[He drank his with nothing in it, but at least acknowledged not everyone liked that]

No, plain's fine.

[Keith shook his head a little as he answered.]

Thanks.

[He looked around for a moment.]

So, have you given more thought to us getting our own place at some point?

[Shiro brought out two mugs of tea, the tea bags still floating in them to steep the water. He was sure by this point Keith to know it needed to steep. Even so, it was his choice of when to drink his tea]

I think that's a good idea. There's no privacy here and it would be nice to be able to not have to travel 13 floors to talk to each other.

[He didn't like being so far from someone who understood his issues]

I don't think we need that much, but we'll have to figure out what we do need.

[Keith nodded in agreement.] Yeah. I don't think we'd need much, either. It's not like all seven of us are here. Though, it might not be a bad idea to have an extra spot in case someone else shows up.

One extra spot. Maybe two. It would be pointless to have more than that. Worst comes to worse, we're either temporarily having two people share or someone is sleeping on the floor.

Makes sense. Plus, if someone else does show up, we can always find a bigger place with the added income.

[Little did they know...]

[~~Little did they know~~. Shiro nodded]

It will be easier then. Right now, its silly to waste money on having space for something that may happen.

Yeah.

[Keith took another sip of the tea, starting to feel tired.]

Where do you think we should look for a place?

One of the apartment buildings should be fine or even a condo. We might have enough to look at a house if we wanted something a little more private. We should probably figure that out first if we go that route.

Makes sense.

An apartment wouldn't be bad... less maintenance.

[Keith had been saddled with a house back home rather suddenly and at a pretty young age due to the situation with his parents. He liked the idea of not worrying about holes in the roof or broken porch steps.]

Yeah, less maintenance. We can start looking at what our options are then in the next few days. Not like its any great importance since we have somewhere to stay, but it would be more convenient.

[The difference though is that he had Shiro with him. Not like Keith would be worrying about those things alone]

[Keith nodded, then yawned.]

Thanks for letting me hang up here for a bit. I think I'm gonna head back downstairs, though. Try to get some sleep before everyone gets back.
