[ She was getting pretty lucky the fire didn't do much damage or hurt anyone she knew - that she knew about, anyway. Still, she did spent the majority working on a few different outfits for Bill, as well as a certain doll for a certain Egyptian Pharoah. There's an image with a Marinette sitting on the bed, carefully jotting notes down on a pad before she turns to the feed. ]

Phew. I think I'm really going to have to find a place of my own at this point - I'm used to keeping my workspace to a small area, but... [ Meh. She shook her head a bit. Hopping up, she turned the feed around. ]

I got some outfits done though! And I didn't forget about you Bill- have a look. [ She points at a few different outfits. ]

I was outside the wall recently too, and came across a few snakes - I don't personally LIKE snakes, but they do have some really nice patterned hides. I sketched a few down - I think I'm going to dry making a pair of pants or maybe a dress in that style, if anyone's interested in having something like this.. [ She holds up her pad to show off the sketched design. ]

And I do take requests, naturally. [ She might be heading out there again to try to find new ideas, actually. ]

[ Action for Floormates/Visitors ]
[ After her network announcement, she made her way out to the shared living area to take a break from her sewing, making her way to the kitchen area, checking on the snacks she had been cooking. In fact, the smell of delicious, tasty yummies was filling up the area quite nicely, and Marinette was willing to share with anyone. Ah, well, except for the box she was going to sneak down to Keith as a thank you later. ]

Oh no... it's already getting to you.

[He smirked a little, and then considered her comment about Paris.]

I've never been to Paris. I've heard about it, though... and lights. Lots of lights. [He chuckled a little wryly. Her invitation to watch the stars with her came as a little surprise, though, and his eyebrows quirked upward.] Yeah? [He looked up automatically, even though it was daylight.] They're different here than home. [Then again, he hadn't seen the stars from Earth in a really long time. And moving around in the Castle of Lions really made it hard to pinpoint a particular constellation or just memorize a certain pattern. He dropped his gaze back down at the buildings around them.]

It would still be nice, though.

[ She looked surprised, and then gasped dramatically, putting a hand to her forehead. ]

Oh no, it's too late for me Keith. Punitis is a fatal disease - whatever am I going to do~!?

[ Woe is, woe is! And.. well hopefully he didn't get the wrong idea about her invitation. ]

Yeah, the cityscape at night is just... I don't even know how to describe it with just words, haha.

[ She misses it, terribly. ]

Pictures just don't do it justice.

[ Another pause - yeah, the stars were different here. A lot of things were. But they were still fascinating to look at. ]

Well, anytime you want to come by, just let me know. Or, I can invite you up sometime too~!

[Keith crinkled his eyebrows a bit, and then lost it, just outright laughing at her mock dramatics.

And, of course, he's totally going to misinterpret her invitation, but that was okay. He tended to do that a lot.]

I'll have to go then... if I ever get back to Earth.

[He nodded. That sounded good.]

Oh... you want some? [It was the whole reason he came.] I mean... I felt like it would be the right thing to do to share with the person who gave them to me, right? [He indicated the small box he'd brought, still sitting on the chair where he'd placed it. Plus, their tea was probably getting cold. They should drink it soon.]

[ Whoah -what th.. that was the first time she saw him laugh outright like that. She was a little surprised, but definitely pleased to be able to make him laugh. Giggling a bit herself, she grinned at the sight of him laughing. ]

You're so serious a lot of the time, it's nice seeing you laugh and smile like that. [ He should do it more often! ]

I'm sure you will - try and think positively. Although it's a shame it's not the same Earth I'm from - I'd be able to show you all the coolest places. [ If they were even there in his version of Earth-France. But they weren't from the same world -or at least, timelines. There was no way she'd be able to show him around, unfortunately. ]

Oh..! Right, I mean you came all the way - yeah, thanks, Keith. [ Also yes, they don't want their tea to get cold. So she moved her drawing pad away and claimed one of the empty chairs. ]

It's good it's the right kind of weather for this kind of thing too.
Not in person anyway, but there's nothing saying I can't just tell you about all the hotspots to check out.

[Keith shrugged.]

I never really thought about it. I guess I'm just usually in serious situations.

[There were probably other reasons, but he really didn't feel like he wanted to get into that now.

He headed over to the chairs, picking up the box again, and sitting down.]

Maybe. We're trying. [He knew Hunk and Lance definitely wanted to go back. They had families and people to check up on when everything was all done with the Galra Empire. But, he wasn't so sure about himself. Not yet, at least.]

All the way? We're still in the same building. [He put the box on the small table between them and opened it up, letting her take the first one out.]

I get that, but we're not in a serious situation right now. It's okay to smile. [ She paused, her smile fading a little. ]

I guess being here isn't really helping in that matter either. [ Tucking herself into the chair, she reached forward to snag a sopapilla with an appreciative smile. ]

Well.. okay, but you're ALL the way down on the second floor. You had to get up, go ALL the way down the hall to the elevator, take it aaaaaaaaall the way up to the tenth floor ..a nd that's assuming you didn't take the stairs..! [ Yes Marinette, make it sound like he was climbing Mt. Everest. ]

[Her initial comment did get something of a small smile from him. But he shook his head about being stuck in Riverview.]

No, not really. I'm hoping it's temporary, to be honest. Like, I understand why we're here, how we ended up here, all of that, but I know I can't stay here. Not forever.

[He chuckled a little. Oh, yes... sooooooo far.] It could have been worse. I could have come from four blocks away.

[ She glanced over the railing absently, nodding. ]

Yeah, same here. It's nice enough, but I wouldn't want to stay here forever anyway.

[ She misses her family and friends, her home, too much. She gave him a little mock shudder at the thought of having to *gasp* walk four blocks. ]

And then when you got here, chances are the elevator would be out of order. I'd have to stand by with a glass - no, a jug of water for you!

[He nodded back and then chuckled a little at her comment.]

Heh, yeah, really. I don't know what I'd do in that case. Climb the stairs? Cancel? Really tough choice.

[You know, because he wasn't like... athletic or something... and able to actually handle that. Har har.]

[ She giggled. ]

But if you cancelled, who would you share your snacks with?

[ A thoughtful pause. ]

I told you that one time I had to take the stairs when one of my roommates - the one that left - didn't want to let me in, right? I was pretty tempted to dunk my head in a tub of water after that. And that was after climbing the stairs both ways.

That's a good question. I guess I'd just have to find someone with less stairs to climb.

[He smirked a little.]

That bad, huh? Yeah... makes sense.

[ GASP! Keith! She looks so horrified! She even actually gasps out loud - maybe a little overexaggerated, but that's Mari for you. ]

You wouldn't really do that..would you?! [ Oh, her feelings! They have been a-wounded! ]

Mm, ten flights of stairs? It's good exercise, to say the least. I like to take the stairs when I'm not in a hurry. And.. sometimes when I am. [ More often than not though, she's been tempted to go Ladybug and just swing off from the balcony. But that was 'work' not pleasure. ]

[He was used to dramatics. He had Lance for a teammate.]

Hm... what do you think?

[As far as the stairs...]

That it definitely is.

[ She smirks. ]

I think you'd miss out on the sopapilla if you skipped out on visiting.

[ She leans back a little, glancing out at the view again. ]

I'd say I'll get a place on a lower floor when I move out, but ... I probably won't. If I have to give up a view like this, I want to at least try to find an apartment on a higher floor. [ She glances at Keith again. ]

You may be stuck climbing stairs forever.

Well, if you're going to bribe me with Mexican donuts, I might just have to suffer through it.

[He smirked a little, and then also looked out over the cityscape.]

Yeah... that's okay. The donuts are worth it.

[The company, too, but he wanted to tease her a little.]

Oh not just Mexican donuts, I'll bribe you with cookies and stuff too. It's how I keep all my friends.

[ She giggled at his emphasis, leaning against her knees a little. ]

Only the donuts? That's okay, I'll take it. I'm not picky!

[ She ohs. ]

So you're with the Perimeter Guard now right? How's it working out for you?

That's a good incentive. [He smirked a little.] One of our teammates is the same way... always cooking and finding cool new things to make.

[He nodded.]

Yeah, I am. It's working out okay. It's something to do, at least.

[ She chuckled. ]

If he shows up here, you should introduce us. We could trade recipes. [ ...not the alien ones though. She can do without those ones. ]

That's good. I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have something to keep me busy. [ She just doesn't 'relax' that often. ]

What about you? Is training your hobby to relax, or do you do other stuff?

[That got a small smile.] Oh, man. He gets pretty intense about that. I'd hope you could handle it.

[He considered the next question for a moment.]

Right now, yeah. Back home, I had some other things, too, but being on a ship in space makes it hard to do some of them. Like, I didn't bring my hoverspeeder with me when we took the Blue Lion off Earth, so I don't have that... and it wouldn't work in outerspace anyway. It's not designed for it.

[ She laughed. ]

Both of my parents are bakers. I know from intense, especially when a special event, promotional or holiday is coming up. I think I can handle it. [ Actually, some of that 'intensity' was kind of terrifying. ]

Yeah, I guess it would be difficult. [ She went silent for a moment, thinking. ]

Something like that I guess only works in lower atmosphere like around here?

Good. If he ends up here, then I'll make sure you guys meet. [He smiled a bit. Hunk was a good guy. He had a feeling they'd get along, and not just because of the food thing.]

Yeah. The turbines it uses to hover create air cushions for it to float on, so, without air, it doesn't move.

Cool, then we can both join culinary forces. [ Better watch that diet of yours, Keith! She grinned. ]

And it was about the size of a motorcycle right? Only it's not sentient like the Lions so it probably isn't going to come puttering through the portal. Do you think there's anyone here that could make one?

[ There were probably a whole bunch of eccentric folk who tinkered with gadgets and things like that. A hoverspeeder would probably be easy. ...if they had the parts. ]

There's a scary thought.

The speeder's a bit bigger because it's got the turbines that make it hover, and a tail fin for stability, but it's basically a lot like a motorcycle with some extra parts. But, yeah, it's not sentient. It's just a vehicle.

I'm not sure about making one, though. I mean, the turbines can be tricky to keep calibrated right.

[ Scary thought? Hmph! She chuckles at the response. ]

Maybe for your waistline. [ She shook her head with a grin. ] Seriously, Don't worry, I'd share the wealth with everyone and not just you. [ So he can stay fit and trim! If he can resist the deliciousness. Though she supposes he could help himself and then just do some major league exercise. ]

[ The point about the turbines.. right, right. ]

Oh - I guess that's true. And then things like that probably aren't even around anywhere. At least not for the size that you'd need. [ Too bad though! ]

[He chuckled as well.]

Alright. I won't worry, then. [And, really, he wouldn't. Between stupid crazy teenage boy metabolism and his overactive training regimen, Keith wasn't likely to be anything but wiry any time soon.]

Yeah... Though, I've heard people get stuff from home on occasion. Maybe that'll show up, too.
