[ some of you might have seen this username on the network before. she isn't a stranger to responding to other people's messages, nor to holding private conversation but as for addressing the entire network, well. this is certainly a first time.

peggy carter is in her office in the riverview police force. it's a slow afternoon, which is the only reason for this little message, really. ]

They're really quite attached to their celebrations aren't they. If I have to secure another event, be it a dance ball, a speed dating evening or anything that involves ribbons, glitter, gifts and large, outdoor parties, I fear I may have to file a complaint. Honestly now, this is getting out hand.

[ no one needs this amount of cheer, surely. ]

More importantly, I am searching for someone who might understand a thing or two about what makes these little devices tick.

It's Prince Loki, technically, or Your Highness if you're feeling adventurous, but I don't stand on ceremony. Just 'Loki' will do.

[ Cocking his head, he asks in the same unruffled tone, ] What if you didn't have to secure one? Could your enjoy yourself then? I think not, you sound too capable to leave such a matter in someone else's hands.

If this is you volunteering for the force, Mr. Loki,

[ no, she is not going to use any of his suggestions, if only because of the attitude. mister loki, it'll have to be, for now. ]

Then by all means, we could use a helping hand. I'm certain another event will come soon enough.

[ Mister Loki sounds like some part of a kinky bedroom game, but he won't point that out. He'll wait for it to really take root. ]

My club, Trixie, is at your disposal. Carter, yes?

Carter, yes.

[ not many people call her in this city. Not a one, if we're entirely honest but it's not unfamiliar. ]

[ she states, but there's a question there, too. ]

I fear I've never had the pleasure of visiting.

We serve breakfast twenty-four-seven, you'd be welcome to drop in for a bacon roll.

[ Because that's just the kind of place Trixie is. ]

[ oh, if only she knew that was a modern reference. she's been making a lot of those unknowingly as of late. ]

Men and women at the same time?

[ look, some of the better clubs in her time are gender-exclusive. ]

[ So many regrets over not calling it that!! ]

I should hope so, [ a laugh grows higher over the video and a blur covers Loki's features for a moment as he becomes she, long hair in place of short and a mischievous twinkle in her eye, ] otherwise that might be seen as somewhat ironic.

That's a rather elaborated trick.

[ dry and wry and hiding a deeper sense of awe. she can't like him ( her! ) know that, might inflate what she suspects to be an already too-big of an ego. ]

Might, indeed. You'd have to forgive me, some clubs in my time do not easily allow women into their rank and I admit I'd have a harder time masquerading quite so successfully.

[ though the spy in her appreciates the skill and also it's danger. ]

[ More male-inclined at the moment, Loki slips back into his other form and twirls a piece of his shorter hair. ]

Where I'm from, if anyone tried to kick a woman out of a club she'd break their nose. 'In your time' is a funny way to put it, though. When was that?

[ Not wanting to assume, even with a few clues having already dropped his way. ]

I haven't said some women aren't likely to do that in my time, either.

[ and maybe she can attest to that because she is one of those few women. peggy carter isn't so easily escorted out, not ever. ]

[ Well, then. The date seals his suspicions and he cocks his head, pausing before hazarding a guess, ]

You're Peggy Carter, aren't you? I only know of you, back on Earth-616. We never met, but the Norse pantheon knew your name.

[ she stops short; it's odd enough to be known by people from different worlds even without having the whole Norse Pantheon - ]

I fear I've never heard of Earth-616. The Norse pantheon -that is a code name, yes? for an organization of a sort?

That's right! My partner was codenamed Thor and our main European facility was Asgard. It doesn't matter so much on this moon so I may as well come clean; I am an intergalactic man of mystery.
