[ some of you might have seen this username on the network before. she isn't a stranger to responding to other people's messages, nor to holding private conversation but as for addressing the entire network, well. this is certainly a first time.
peggy carter is in her office in the riverview police force. it's a slow afternoon, which is the only reason for this little message, really. ]
They're really quite attached to their celebrations aren't they. If I have to secure another event, be it a dance ball, a speed dating evening or anything that involves ribbons, glitter, gifts and large, outdoor parties, I fear I may have to file a complaint. Honestly now, this is getting out hand.

maybe he has a point. ]
and yourself, Mr. Dorian. Do you specialize in both, then?
no subject
Please, Dorian will suffice. None of my titles hold any weight here. [Suggesting he does hold some weight in his own world, but that's neither here nor there.]
Specialize? Hardly. I am a mage. It is how I was born, what I am, and who I am. Science? Well, I've read many things regarding it, and several more since coming to this world. Do I consider myself a scientist? Hardly. There's far too much I don't know. I am, though, a researcher and an archivist among other things.

[ and call her peggy. equal terms is something of a feat for her, especially since her arrival here. ]
A humble man.
[ she has not met many of those. ]
A mage must be born, I imagine? it's not an art one can learn?

A man with a sense of propriety, at any rate. Few, however, have called me humble. That being said, I don't require adoration without proof.
[Though it's all spoken in a teasing fashion. Can he brag? Certainly, but not without merit, and there's no call for it here.]
It is an art, certainly, but a gift as well. One must be able to sense the currents of magic to manipulate them, after all, and one born with the affinity is a mage whether they like it or not, so they may as well learn to like it.
