[There is a mildly anxious child on the feed, sitting on the edge of the community building roof as she munches down on some potato chips; this child's diet is 1000% on point. But more importantly, she flashes the video feed several stories below toward some of the trees. The little accent is full of confusion:]

They are dying. What are they sick with?

Shouldn't someone do something to save them? ¿Dónde está el jardinero?

[Seriously, nobody seems concerned about the leaves all falling off. Or them turning odd colors.]

Perhaps you will see it here.

I was told when I was young that if it were to snow while there were still leaves, then the weight could cause the branches to break. To protect itself, a tree will lose its leaves and conserve its energy by sleeping. Some animals will also hibernate.

I could not say why humans do not sleep. Perhaps we are meant to endure.

Snow is not frightening. It is the cold that can be difficult for some. I doubt we have to worry about it.

It sounds as if you have not experienced much in your life. I hope the seasons will be enjoyable for you.

I think that is reasonable. You should have the chance to.

May I ask for your name?

Hello, Laura.

Varus. I have not been here long.

So it seems. There are strange things here, but I am no stranger to that.

For now, at least, you do not need to worry about the trees dying or being in danger.
