[ baby's first network post and it'll be an anonymous text post, because Kaneki's priority is to know just how bad his situation really is without having others freaking out. He has thousands of questions, but none are as important as these: ]

Does anyone know what Ghouls are? Do they exist in your world? Do they exist here?

 When you're like me, you get used to being called a monster and it doesn't bother you so much.

Alright. So you have the 'characteristics' of a ghoul. Do you have the same diet?
You do realise you're going to have trouble if you're not careful about procuring your meals.

 It's hard to explain what you are when you don't know yourself, don't you agree?

You eat humans, too? It's not that simple. Even if I don't hurt anyone, I'd still be killed.

It's a little different than eating. But it's fundamentally the same. It's more like absorbing.

Can't say I'm surprised, either way. Humans don't take care for what might hurt them.

Do other people know? I'm sure I'd be killed here, too. there are a lot of humans, and when something is scary, that's what people do. I know that because I used to think like that as well.

 You might say I'm a bit infamous in my own world. We won't go into detail. 

And you won't be killed here. Not if you keep your nose clean.

Not telling you to tell me who you are, but if you get into trouble? You call me.

Just because you're something different doesn't give others the right to fear you. Not unless you want them to. If that's the case, then you live your own consequences.

How can you be sure? I don't want to be feared, I just wanted to be normal.

 Humans will always fear what they don't understand.

So you either keep what you are a secret to everyone you meet, and be afraid of prosecution yourself until you eventually slip up.

Or. 

You learn how to accept what you are, and make sure everyone else knows you either mean them no harm, or that you won't show mercy to those who aim to take your life out of irrational fear for their own. 

Whining about wanting to be normal is, at this point, tired. Useless. 

And I'm sure about this because I've been living like it for over a decade.

 Not asking you to explain it. It'd be useless, given I have no idea who you are.

All I can tell you, then, is 'be careful'.
