[ baby's first network post and it'll be an anonymous text post, because Kaneki's priority is to know just how bad his situation really is without having others freaking out. He has thousands of questions, but none are as important as these: ]
Does anyone know what Ghouls are? Do they exist in your world? Do they exist here?
Does anyone know what Ghouls are? Do they exist in your world? Do they exist here?
TEXT, UN: GraveMistake
Got your ghost stories and your horror movies to give you a real idea of what a ghoul is. But I'm throwing that aside to suggest that's not what you're talking about.
How about some details. I've seen some weird shit working on border patrol.

Just stories then?
Ghouls look like humans, you can't tell the difference. But they can't live like humans, even if they try. [ How does he even describe it? ]
They eat humans.

Just stories. Lots of them place them as either not-quite-vampires, or something like your modern day zombie.
And, according to your description, not much unlike what you're talking about.
Except with the bonus of 'not being able to tell the difference'.
Let me guess.
These things hide among regular humans.
no subject
They are a different species, but they are very close to humans.
And they live among humans. [ they aren't things, and where else could they live? It's true that it was all very scary for Kaneki but ghouls don't have any other choice, either ]

[ It certainly doesn't sound like a fruit or flower and her replies will be slow. She's not used to the device and she's having to use audio-to-text to get anything done. ]

Ghouls are a species different from humans, but they look like humans. They are predators. [ he is trying not to sound extremely creepy and yet there is no other way to describe it ] They can only eat humans.
no subject
I have neither heard of, nor encountered anything like that. The predators I'm accustomed to are of the animal variety and many of them are quite formidable.
[ Some Nemedians may fall into that category in the figurative sense, but that doesn't merit speaking. ]
How formidable are they? You're sure there is nothing else that can sate their appetites?
no subject
This is the only way they can live.

Ghouls? I only ever heard about them in stories. Though I've seen things that look how I picture a ghoul might in my life.
They were called something else though.
Anonymous forever
And what do you picture a ghoul to be?
no subject
They were called Proxies.
Previous to meeting one of those it was always a very.. nebulous thing. Not something definable. But once you have a 9 foot tall monster staring you down in your bathroom it's a little bit hard not to make it your personal 'boogie man'

[Her grasp of monster lore is nebulous at best, mostly relegated to stories the other kids told or mouldy old books that were readable enough to pass muster. She doesn't remember ever running across the word specifically, but she can infer the general idea from context.]
Anonymous forever
No, they exist. And they are flesh and bone and look exactly like humans at first. You couldn't tell the different if you met one. [ until they tried to eat you, but Kaneki can't bring himself to write that ]
no subject
But he called them 'walkers'. This dude's using the word 'ghoul'. Different words for the same things? She squints at her tablet.]
and? why are u asking about them if they're just like normal ppl?
no subject
They look normal.
I mean, they can be normal, not all ghouls are bad and violent and they hide among humans.
But they aren't humans.
They eat humans. [ with this post alone, kaneki found out how much he hates writing that part ]

might have bumped into one or two depending on the universe
or more?

But they are have different biology and they can only eat humans. [ he hates writing this, but he realizes he has no choice because no one seems to know what a ghoul is ]
no subject
What if HUMANS are the ones that look like other species?
