Most people in my time don't even know that other planets outside our solar system exist, let alone that they have loads of aliens on them. Even though Earth has been visited by those aliens plenty of times.

Which species? I wouldn't imagine a species would continue to go back and forth to one planet..unless it was to set up a trade route.

[Forgive her, she's trying to make sense and connections between her world and Bill's.]

Oh, well...

[ She'll have to think back, to what she can remember and also what the Doctor has told her about. ]

Cybermen, Daleks... the Monks were awful. There were these alien wood lice this one time... I don't know what they were called. The Ice Warriors on Mars, I'm not sure if they ever made it to Earth...

[ She could go on forever, really. ]

I haven't heard of any of those before. Interesting..two different universes with their own set of different species. [Well, who would've guessed?]

What sort ship do you fly in then?

[ She still isn't sure how much she should tell people about the TARDIS. But Rey seems trustworthy enough so far. ]

It's my friend's ship, actually. He's an alien. It's called the TARDIS.

A TARDIS?

[She can't exactly say she's ever heard of something like that?] Is that the size of an Imperial ship? Or, more for battle? Or is it a shuttle?

Um... I don't know how big an Imperial ship is. But the TARDIS is, like, really big and really small at the same time? Poe's seen it.

[Well, Poe hasn't mentioned Bill or a TARDIS, so..that's interesting too.]

How could something be small and be big at the same time?

I know, it's mad. I don't understand how it works, but it just does. The inside is bigger than the outside.

To be honest, it's more confusing than anything else.

But..different world, different ships.

[ Bill chuckles. ]

You're more accepting of it than I was, at first.

I've been around ships all of my life. There are different designs, and if I were to continue to think about it, I might get a headache.

Best to accept that and move on.

I suppose that makes sense. It's not like that for me. We don't really have spaceships on my planet, at least not in my time.

What's your planet like then?

Well...?

[ Bill pauses, trying to think how to describe Earth to someone who's never heard of it before. ]

It's all humans, except for a few aliens who come visit or try to take over from time to time. We've no magic, or anything like that. Mostly it's... normal? Just a few billion people trying to live their lives every day.

But it's good. It's home, you know?

[...Intriguing to say the least.]

If aliens do try to take over, wouldn't everyone be prepared for it? Or invest in some sort defense against it?

[She's curious, really she is.]

it sounds like it's a home that works for you. Not many can say that.

[ Rey can't see, but Bill is making a strained sort of face. ]

Well, it's weird. After my friend or whoever puts a stop to the invasion, and things go back to normal and the aliens leave, everyone just sort of... forgets.

[ It sounds weird, Bill knows it does, but she's seen it, when they defeated the Monks. ]

[Rey is trying to wrap her head around that...give her a moment.]

That is very weird. If a battle took place, there would be evidence of it...and people would have to notice it.

Unless, no offense, the people from your world are..the forgetful kind? Maybe?

Well, there's no battles, really. He usually gets them to leave by talking to them, or tricking them. Or beating them some other way, with his mind and his hearts.

[ Yeah. Plural. ]

But yeah... I think most people just don't have room in their minds for a world that is visited by aliens all the time, so they'd rather live without knowing they exist.

Wait, he? He, who? Your friend?

[And it doesn't surprise her that they may have two hearts. Different species, different anatomy and all.]

It sounds like it would be a bit boring after a while. To have something happen and then forget, and not be prepared for the next possible attack. It doesn't make much sense to me.

Yeah, my friend. The Doctor. He's brilliant.

[ She means that both in the way of describing his intelligence and also just in that he's great. ]

It can be boring. It can be so, so boring. [ That's part of why she stayed with the Doctor, after all the mess with Heather. There was just too much excitement to be seen. ]

A Doctor? A doctor of what exactly?

[Forgive her for not catching the 'The' in the name.]

So I take it you like living here then?

[ That's alright, everyone does. It's just one of those things. ]

No, not "a" doctor, "The" Doctor. It's his name.

[ Not his real name, according to Missy, but it's what he goes by and that's good enough for Bill. ]

Here's alright. I know I'll have to go back eventually, but here isn't so bad.

Okay...I suppose he's earned it, saving lives and such.

[That just can't be his real name, but whatever.]

It's different to say the least. Much different from where I'm from in terms of technology, and the people...and just the feel of the place. It's peaceful.

Is Jakku not peaceful?
