informal poll for you guys. if you had to choose, is this place more like:

a) fantasia, from the neverending story
b) oz, from the wizard of oz
c) wherever the hell it was with the muppets and stuff, from labyrinth
d) wonderland, from alice in wonderland

[ The question might seem like a frivolous one, but the answers should actually be pretty informative, and it's way more fun than just asking people to describe what this place is really like. ]

What an advanced sounding future you must come from. I only wish I could be able to see it. Science that cannot be separated from magic... that's something that interests me greatly.

I wonder if it really is that? It would make sense. Their medical technology is fairly advanced here, as well.

i was under the impression all the stories were about teens. though that one did sound particularly bad, i agree.

you don't want to be thirty feet tall?? what's wrong with you, man?

[Honestly, it sounds like her kind of fun. ... So long as you could change back, she supposes.]

yeah, even old comics like me need new material.

we didn't get too much in the underground, but i thought the day the world stood still,
space epic 201X and the sixth element were all pretty cool.

[ Wait.

Does he mean The Day the Earth Stood Still, Space Odyssey, and The Fifth Element?

Alternate universes are weird. ]

None that I've seen yet. Thankfully. Though I'm keeping my eye out for green-haired clowns, dudes with freeze guns, and...other lunatics who shouldn't be allowed to run around all free.

Wait, have you come across anything weird?

For realsies

[Attached is one (1) selfie, his head angled so his ears are very visible.]

If I knew the how and why I'd be way better off than I am.

This woman saw it, I guess? And it made her crazy, but she called it a living hunger.

Okay, full disclosure: have not seen one in the flesh yet. But I have heard they're like, a sci-fi nerds dream.

I want to adopt one.

Sunglasses that have x-ray vision?
Such things really exist?

Rather useful these, if they do.

fifth?
this must be one of those alternative universe things.
yeah, sure, pal.

[ Of course, alternative universes are confirmed just on fact of them being here, but he's more interested in how readily this guy accepts that answer. ]

i call it truth in advertising.
but yeah, it's where me and the rest of my kind's been livin' since, well, for ages.
