I think that depends on what you mean by escaping the circumstances of your birth.

I believe destiny is more fluid than what people want us to believe.

i suppose there are multiple parts to it

one involves the education you were raised with

the other involves literally escaping people you knew as a child

You can escape your education. My family and I did and I know others that have.

The people you know is more difficult. Even when you get away from them, they still can influence your actions and how you view yourself.
