sometimes it's choices made for you. things you learned that were wrong, people who try to trap you. knives in the dark. webs of intention that you can neither see nor fathom.

One can be familiar with all the above and still make their own path to follow: I have. If I'd done nothing, I would have died on the Dothraki Sea, mourned and remembered by no one. Instead, I found my way home, known to all.

I don't say all this to boast. Simply to point out that is a girl can do it, a man certainly has that ability.
