yeah. And it felt right. So, I let myself go with it. There are risks, and it's been a while. But it's nice and feels good, and there's no reason why I can't let myself be happy for a little while. Right?

[The typing might not be as lazy as usual, but that wording might sound familiar...

But, Red was definitely confirming what was going on here through Black, so Keith wanted to see if he'd get called on this.

Though, in curiosity, Keith tentatively reached out the Black, too, to see if he'd respond about the whole thing.]

I guess so. It would be nice even with the risks. It feels like it has been a while

[He’s completely oblivious to the fact that he probably knows this person]

[Okay... nothing, yet. Keith considered his next response carefully.]

I know the feeling.

Its been a couple years for myself. Not since before I started traveling a lot.

[That sent, he climbed down from the bed, gesturing for Red to follow him, and headed out. He gave a quick nudge in Black's direction to figure out where Shiro was, and then walked that way.]

[Sorry, Keith. Shiro’s deliberately trying to make sure nothing slips out that will let someone know who it is]

Traveling? How so?

[Of course now it’s Keith’s turn to be careful.

This also may not last much longer because Black is more than happy to let Keith know where Shiro is. Sitting on the couch in the living room, leaning back at against the curved so his back was almost to the stairs]

[He was at the top of the stairs now, watching Shiro texting from his vantage point. Red pushed her head against Keith's thigh, purring in amusement. He told Black to play it casual and pretend he wasn't on the stairs.

He wondered if Shiro would make the 'jumping' association with wormhole jumps.]

[Now things were going to get interesting...

From his vantage point at the top of the stairs, Keith would likely hear Shiro say "jumping?" with definitely a tone that he was questioning who was on the other end. He even looked up from the phone at Black, who just looked back at him "innocently" - really who could tell otherwise. Shiro's looking at Black but he didn't turn around to look at the stairs behind him.

Care to interrupt him before he can text anything else, Keith? You've pretty much caught him. Or you can wait and see what he will do]

[Keith grinned a little, and gave Red a nod. He let her go down the stairs first, and then, his communicator in his pocket, he came down and headed into the kitchen, innocently, but looked back at Shiro holding his own communicator.]

Talking to someone?

[Shiro heard the sound of Red coming down the stairs, but with the two lions' movements sounding the same, it was hard to tell if it was Black or Red. He heard Keith only a few moments later, lowering his communicator so it was impossible to see what was on it]

No, not really.

[Black practically rolled his eyes mentally. And then of course Shiro's phone buzzed with a response from someone else]

...That was a coincidence.

[And of course, Keith had yet to get a text back...]

Uh-huh.

[Keith chuckled.]

It's fine if you are, you know. You're allowed to text people.

Yeah, I know. [Shiro glanced at the communicator, but made no motion to reply. Especially to the first one. He was starting thing that anon one might be Keith and he couldn't reply to that while Keith was in the room.

And this was when Black said the heck with it and used the fact that both paladins now had a bond with them to temporarily connect them - like what had happened with Shiro and Zarkon - so now Keith would find for certain, yes he had been replying to Shiro and Shiro would find out, yes Keith knew it was him before breaking that bond]

Black!

[And the lion just looked innocently at him]

[Keith actually gasped a little and dropped the plastic cup he'd been holding into the sink. He'd never actually had that happen before. Being aware of Shiro's remaining bond with Black and actually having Black connect them like that were two different things. After a minute, he loosened the grip he had on the edge of the kitchen counter, not remembering having grabbed on to it.

Red growled a little at Black for startling Keith like that. He could have warned him! She put herself next to Keith, just in case he wanted to lean on her, but he recovered quickly enough.

Keith heard Shiro's exclamation, and looked back into the living area.]

That was pretty intense...

[Oh yeah, Keith hadn't experienced that yet. Good thing the cup was plastic and not glass otherwise there could be problems especially with a cat and a dog in the house. Youta, who had probably been sleeping on Shiro's bed upstairs, came running down stairs at the sound of something making noise.

Black just grumbled back at Red, resting his hand on his legs as Youta came running over. The crazy dog stepped up with his front paws on one of Black's paws like that would help figure out what happened]

Yeah, it is. I first saw what Black can do when you all went to the space mall to get a cow.

[Ha]

While I was trying to bond with Black, he took me out to the planet where he was created and showed me his history. That's when Zarkon also linked with Black and I had to fight him until Black chose my bond over Zarkon's.

And all of that actually happened without leaving the castle.

Woah.

[Keith knew a little bit of it, but Shiro hadn't exactly gone into detail, and, of course, it was something else entirely to experience it for himself.]

I wonder if they can all do that.

[He looked down at Red, but, without Lance here, there wasn't a way to test it.

And she wasn't sharing if she could.]

It's possible, but I've never heard from any of you that your lions have done something like that. It was so real that it felt like we went out of Black's planet. But we had never actually left the hangar.

[Also yes, you heard it first. Shiro already knew the story of the Black Lion's creation before they had fought Zarkon]

No... Though, before, none of us had a shared bond except for you, either. And... [Keith shook his head.] Red hasn't given me visions, either. Of course, neither has Black. [It was one of the reasons Keith was pretty convinced that Shiro's connection to the Black Lion was way stronger than his own. He'd fought off Zarkon for the Lion's respect, and the Lion had shared with him way more than it had with Keith.]

Yeah that is true too. I wonder if that will happen again now that there's several lions with multiple connections.

[Of course Black also seemed to have been the only one to offer a vision before]

Maybe...

That would mean Red might be able to connect me and Lance like that...

[There was a weird thought.]

Possible if they are all able to do that. Are you sure you want to be connected to Lance though?

[Keith frowned, and glanced at Red.]

Of all the people to pick as my replacement...

[She just rumbled back.]

Yeah, yeah... I know.

[He sighed, and shrugged back at Shiro.]

I don't have much a choice in the matter, it seems. It's not like either of us really want to be connected to Zarkon.

[There was a faint chuckle from Shiro] Trust me. I'd pick being connected to Lance over being connected to Zarkon any day.

[And it seems the fact that it was Shiro anonymously asking about dating had been forgotten]

[Forgotten... for now... unless the Black Lion wanted to bring it up again.

Keith just nodded.]

Yeah... me, too.

[Feelings about Lance aside, it was kind of weird to think about. That said, though...]

I guess that means Lance is connected to Allura. Hmph. With the way he flirts with her, she must get some weird mental images if Blue is passing them though.

[Black is just biding his time....

That comment though does get a laugh out of Shiro]

Yeah, probably. I'm not sure if I'd really want to know what goes on in Lance's head.

I don't think I want to, either, but... well, without him here, I don't really have to worry about it, yet.

[He gave Red a knowing look, and Red just stared back with something of a mental shrug in Keith's direction.

But, she was curious. She glanced at Black again, and then back at Keith. Unlike the Black Lion, she was less patient, and wasn't about to sit there and bide her time. Texting?

Keith blinked, and then smirked a little. Knowing Shiro didn't have a link with her, he nodded.]

We'll see.

[He purposefully left that vague, and then pulled out his communicator. He noted the lack of a response from his last message. So he typed something out, and hit send.]

[He didn't bother trying to disguise who he was this time. He smirked a little more, and then glanced towards Shiro as the other communicator chirped that it received a message.]

We'll see?

[Then he saw Keith take out his phone and start typing. Then his phone chirped. Yep, Keith had juuuuust texted him he knew it. And chances are Keith knew it too. Black had connected them after all so he had proof so at this point, Shiro didn't even really hide it, pulling out his communicator and typing]

Where's the fun in that? :-|

[Only because he knows if it is Keith, he'll definitely ask what that is or react in someway to it that he can see]

[Oh, he reacted alright. Keith pulled back from his communicator and then stared at it for a moment, tilting his head slightly, and then turning the device a few different ways.]
