Okay, I did the 'getting-used-to-this-place' thing and I have two questions.
First, where can I buy or borrow a bike. [She'll borrow one and live life pokemon style if she has too.] I'm already getting tired of walking everywhere.
[Willa doesn't make it clear if she's talking about a motorcycle or a bicycle. She's not that picky and either would do. However, she has very little to no experience driving a motorcycle but she's sure she could figure it out.]
Question number two. [She holds up two fingers and holds them in front of the screen.] What did you guys all do before you arrived here? Is it the same as what you do now? Be it jobs or hobbies or whatever.
[Anyone can respond or not, but Willa wants to meet more of the people here and see what kind of crowd she's dealing with. From the small sample she's run into, it's certainly an eclectic bunch.]

@captainjack [video]
How long have you been here? Still working with only the initial stipend?
[ Depending on her funds, he's not sure what she'll be able to afford, but most of the merchants here are reasonable people, and there's always a way to work something out. This community is built up of people trying to survive a harsh and unforgiving landscape, after all. They have to work together. It trickles down. For the most part, anyway. He's met a few exceptions to the rule. ]

Less than a month. Long enough to have a job and a fair amount of tips.
[She works as a bar tender at the Quarantine bar. She isn't rich but she's cute and gets good tips.]

So you've got something saved up. Probably not enough for a motorcycle in proper working order, but you could get something cheap enough if you were able to fix it up. Might clean you out, though. You could definitely afford a bicycle. Probably even get one very cheaply if you don't mind what it looks like. How familiar are you with the city? Should I send you an address?
no subject
I am sorta familiar with the city. I can probably get there with an address. [Cities are really easy to navigate.]
And for the record, I don't care what it looks like and someone will have to teach me how to fix it.

I was a warrior in my world or a kind of police officer. I work for the Perimeter Guard now. I'm not sure about hobbies though. I wasn't really allowed to have them where I was from.
video | @arcarius
Okay. Do you have hobbies here? Unless fighting is your hobby, in which case might I suggest water skiing when it gets warmer out.
no subject
[Alec begins to speak, then realizes he really isn't sure if he does have any hobbies.]
Kind of? [That shouldn't be a question. Either he has hobbies or he doesn't.] I used to...
Why would someone ski on water that isn't frozen?
no subject
Okay, you're going to have to tell me about this certain type of bike. [She's curious though it's probably not something she'd be interested in herself.]
And seriously? Why would someone ski on water that was frozen? The point is, it's fun. You should give it a try before you knock it.

*She didn't get that Willa meant bicycle.*
I went to school, ran a fashion vlog, worked at my daddy's restaurant... normal stuff.
Voice - UN: lolococo416
[Willa tries so hard to keep the sharpness from her voice. She isn't trying to burn any bridges, yet, but it takes a lot of work for her to be pleasant.]
How long did it take you to save up? What do you do here for money?
no subject
*Look, Lola loves her lion pilots and vikings and space samurai but she misses normal!*
Um, I work part time as a waitress but I still get the education stipend while I'm in school. Took a few months? With some extra shifts to help make sure I had enough for food budgets.
I should probably get a better job...
no subject
[It's a lie but mostly because Willa doesn't want to talk about what's normal and what isn't. She doesn't care one way or the other.]
Probably.
[Wills isn't going to school, so she imagines it won't take her that long. She's sure she can think of a quick way to rake in some cash anyway.]

I've got a question for you. Seen a small bag anywhere filled with little colored rupees? I found them missing the night I bumped into you.
video; @Link
[She raises an eyebrow at him.]
No. I haven't. Do you think you dropped it?
[Just what are you accusing her of Link?]
no subject
[It's Link's turn to raise a brow. Right. Must be something from her world or something.]
No, not from India. From Hyrule. I know I didn't drop it. [He had his things secure. You had to when you glided around on a paraglider and got knocked around by monsters and assassins.]
You're sure you haven't seen anything like, uh..
[Link pauses and looks around his other belongings. He hadn't lost all of his rupees. He holds up a small green one.]
Anything like this?
no subject
Nope.
[She's a really good liar.]
Do you want me to help you look for it? I really don't want too. [It happens when people blame you for stuff.]

[Sensing a theme? A beat. He's- not going to touch on Germany.]
What about you, what'd you do before coming here?
no subject
[Which is also what she does here.]
Military, huh? What all did you do for them?
no subject
I was a State Alchemist as a kid, lots of research, inspections, that sort of stuff. If something seemed suspicious we looked into it.

Video @the.boneless
[The perks of being royalty. Not that he often mentions he was a prince, because really, what's the point?]
But my brothers and I were involved in a war, so I was the strategist for the army. I really hope the theory that time doesn't pass while we're here is true, because otherwise, those idiots are sure to lose without me to plan for them.
Video @the.boneless
[She asks wit a little quirk to her lips.]
What do you do here for work then? [Willa hasn't pegged this place as one that's in need of a strategist.]

[It might sound conceited, but it's the truth. Ivar was pretty much brilliant, able to read people very well, and anticipate how they're going to react. He'd had to compensate for being a cripple his whole life and out-thinking everyone was one way he did it.]
I'm on the Perimeter Guard. Killing things has always been something that I'm good at.
