I guess this is a second introduction. Mostly because I just joined the Perimeter Guard. So, I'm Makoto Yuuki, I was the leader of S.E.E.S. at Gekkoukan High School, a specialized combat squad.

I'll be glad to give an example of my skills but it's really not for the faint of heart. I know that anyone who goes into combat though should have an idea of what to expect from me and my Persona's.

So, ah, I guess this is an invitation to meet my new coworkers?

[He is strange but also very cool. Makoto is still a teenaged boy who had spent a lot of his vacations during school playing an online game.]

Ah, yeah. Persona, it's sort of a manifestation of a Persona User's personality. Igor explained it like a mask that people wear and show the world around us.

[But since he's fairly honest...] I'm up for training anytime you want. I haven't got a load of classes in the university yet so I'm free a lot.

[Would that he knew anything about that, but he can learn. Oh, he can learn!]

[And... learn he must, if a human can use their personality as a weapon. Is that like anger bursts? Or joyfulness?]

I've been exposed to a number of weapons during my time, but that's not one I'm familiar with, I'm afraid. I don't think I am. I would like to see it, to know what to expect, when you're available. You're a student at the university here?

[He's sure they can find a couple here!]

Maybe next week or something? I just joined so I should probably get caught up on a few things. Then we can head outside to the Abandoned City or something?

I am a student though, yeah.

That's fair enough. But until then, I wonder if you would indulge me. What do you study in school?

[He'll see soon at least?]

Honestly? I'm just taking basic subjects right now, but I was thinking of studying music.

[He hopes! And he won't complain of it.]

Oh, music. Some of it can be beautiful, of what I would listen to back home. I'd love to hear more of it again, what you have here. Would that be acceptable, if I would ask to hear what you listen to?

I played the violin in my schools music club, but we mostly did orchestral things. Classical stuff. It's not what I usually listen too.

[He breaks out in a grin.] Yeah, sure. You can borrow my music player.

[Oh wait-] Actually, I'll probably have to find speakers. I don't think my headphones will fit you.

[He tilts his head, wondering at what a violin is. He'll have to look this up later.] I'd like that. I'm not sure what a violin is, or what you mean by classical, but I'd like to see it. Would it be imposing to ask you to show me these things? [He might as well ask! He's not sure just what he's asking for!]

Not at all. It might take a little while though, violins can get expensive unless I can find one in a secondhand shop or something.

[And he's only just starting with the Perimeter Guard.

Sometimes he misses all the money he collected in Tartarus.]

There's no hurry on this. I certainly won't ask you to use your expenses just to show me something. [No, and how could he? He knows what it's like to be strapped for funds, and it doesn't sound like Makoto has a want to throw those around when he sees fit.]

Good to hear. [He'll only blow obscene amounts of money on food. God, he can eat a lot.]

I'll definitely let you know when I can get one though.

[Oh, please don't show him that. He'll be mildly horrified!] Thank you. If I come across one myself, I can let you know. Is it possible that we might find one that has public access, say for anyone who might need anyone for a short time? I'm still getting used to the way this world works, so I'm not sure.

[He can't help his metabolism!] I'd appreciate that!

[Oh, hm. That's a good question.] Maybe? I never thought about it. I know some places have pianos sitting out for guests to play but I'm not sure about violins. Schools sometimes sell old instruments though.

[Maybe not, but he'll still be mildly horrified anyway! Cultural differences and whatnot.] That would be good. Please do let me know if you find something. I would be more than happy to play a bit of my own world's music for you, if you wanted to hear it, but I'm afraid I have none of it with me. I may yet find a way to recreate it in something I can find here, given time.

[True! He does wish he could share takoyaki with wing, as a cultural exchange but...] I'd love that, actually. Music has always been kind of a big part of my life, I like hearing everything I can.

So, it's a deal then. We'll keep an eye out for instruments and everything for each other?

[That might be a bad idea, much as he doesn't want to think so!] I'll make that deal with you. If I can find something to use to imitate what music I know in my world, I'll share that with you if you share with me your own. I fear it may be one sided for a while, until I can find something suitable, but we'll make it work.

[Such a shame. He liked getting some after school back home.] That sounds perfect. I don't mind waiting a little while. Should we shake on it or something whenever we meet up?

[Head... tilt? He doesn't really understand that phrase, but he'll go with it.] I... suppose we can? I'm afraid I don't know what you mean by that. Something new you can show me?

[Right. Maybe he should have guessed that wouldn't translate over. In his defense though, the Velvet Room's inhabitants were closely related to humanity in a way.

Then again, Elizabeth had been kind of clueless about a lot. So he should know better, yeah.]

It's a thing humans do. We'll shake hands when we meet people but sometimes, when you make an agreement, you shake hands as well to acknowledge it.

[He... looks down at his own hand and twists it lightly from side to side, then front to back.] How is it done? Like this? [He lifts his hand to the view to demonstrate.]

[Give Makoto a moment, he'll position his camera a little better.]

Like this. [He'll hold his right hand out a a bit and mime grasping someone else's hand before raising it and letting it drop a bit.] It's more common in other countries but people do it in Japan often enough.

[How interesting. It looks familiar enough for some of the gestures he has seen, but unique all the same.]

I see. Do you know why it is what it is? I'd like to find out. We have something like it, where we simply clasp hands, but no movement, normally only between good friends.

Hm... You know, I don't really know. I know back home, in Japan, we usually bow, but we have a lot of people visit from other countries. Sometimes bowing and handshakes get mixed together.
