Okay, so this is amazing. I have a room with a bed — and I'm not entirely sure what they expect me to do with that. Also my own chair! It's a sweet deal.

Unfortunately, I don't think my charging station came with me on the trip here. Does anyone know anyone technically minded or with a large amount of appliances and scrap? I kind of need it so I don't run out of power. Low charges are hellish.

[Taako, who is nothing if not a show off and a little shit, immediately holds up a finger in a wait gesture so he can relocate himself into the kitchen, where the toaster is.

A quick animate object spell brings the toaster 'to life' as it were.]

[The toaster brings it's lever up and down in a close approximation to nodding, because it's gotta do what Taako wants. He turns back to the camera with a grin.]

I think it's called "cheating".

[ Dorian cocks an eyebrow at him. ]

Is it cause you're a nerd? [He's teasing again, just a little.] I know that's like-- it's hard to overcome, but the biggest nerd I know fucking loves breaking rules.

Because I'm a programmed nerd. I tend to leave the rule-breaking to my partner.

[ And because if Dorian stepped out of line, it's possible they'd scrap him altogether. ]

Does that mean you can't break rules or that you won't?

It's a greater risk for me to break the rules than it is for others.

While I appreciate that, I happen to like my shitty world. It's a world where I know they'll remember me. And there are people who would miss me.

I'm not saying you gotta stick around forever, just that's it's not like, the end of the world if you wanna cut loose.

Maybe not.

But it's going to take time. For me or anyone else. "Cutting loose" is not something I do, but it might be something that'll come to me later.

[As if on cue, a voice off-screen yells at Taako to hurry up, and he gives the camera a little wave.]
