Okay, so this is amazing. I have a room with a bed — and I'm not entirely sure what they expect me to do with that. Also my own chair! It's a sweet deal.

Unfortunately, I don't think my charging station came with me on the trip here. Does anyone know anyone technically minded or with a large amount of appliances and scrap? I kind of need it so I don't run out of power. Low charges are hellish.

Well, I don't get to talk to robots usually. Even ones with souls.

What do you normally talk to?

Not robots. I don't think any robots where I'm from are able to have conversations.

Is there an opposite of robots?

[ It was an interesting dodge. Not that Dorian minds, but he's curious. ]

Magic, maybe. At least, I think most people would think so.

[ He's not quite over hiding his personal business yet. Talk of magic still makes him wonder when people are going to say he's crazy. ]

Perhaps. I can't say I'm familiar with magic. But I don't think it needs to be the opposite of me. Just something I have to learn about.

[Well that's a thought. Christian smiles, then seems to think better of it.]

Can robots learn magic too?

I don't see why not. I've never tried, personally.

Where would I start?

Well, first you'd have to find someone that knows magic and can teach you. I mean, in this place that might actually not be that hard since people apparently like it here, but a good teacher is key.

Is there a specific branch I should look into?

Empathy.

You don't think I have empathy?

[ Because that's hilarious. ]

I think you would have more of a capacity for empathy than a lot of people.

[sentiences]

I don't know. I've never put it to the test.

It would be a place to start. I think a being created with the purpose of understanding and relating to creatures that they aren't really related to must have been made with the capacity for incredible empathy.

[sentiences]

[ Dorian doesn't know about incredible, so his expression. ]

Maybe.
