Okay, so this is amazing. I have a room with a bed — and I'm not entirely sure what they expect me to do with that. Also my own chair! It's a sweet deal.

Unfortunately, I don't think my charging station came with me on the trip here. Does anyone know anyone technically minded or with a large amount of appliances and scrap? I kind of need it so I don't run out of power. Low charges are hellish.

[ Oh. Huh. That's... different. Not in a bad way, mind you, just. Different. Rose is still getting used to the idea of synthetics since her world it was an extremely far time away before anything quite as advanced. ]

Well, I mean, if it's unnecessary then... I guess it's probably better to preserve your energy levels.

I think so too. I'm more helpful as I am than a space heater.

[ Thankfully, Rose doesn't need warming up most of the time. In fact, she prefers the opposite. Cold as possible climates, pls and thx. ]

I have a lot of internet and network capabilities, able to draw out information and store it. I can get into almost any system as well.

Woah, neat. So you're like... a hacker?

I . . . suppose. Though as a police officer, I have that jurisdiction.

Huh! Neat. So, you're with the fuzz. That's... interesting.

I don't think we have actual robocops where I'm from. Is that offensive? Sorry if it is.

It doesn't bother me.

[ Being called robocop is hardly insulting as much as the way Dorian's been treated before. ]

What's interesting about it?

[ Rose just has a tendency to speak before she thinks, but- Good to know it's not offensive. She won't, like, use it as a nickname. It was just the only comparison she could think to make. ]

My world doesn't have technology that advanced. It's cool to think someday we will though!

I'm sure your world is special in its own right.

I mean, I'unno. It's alright.

I don't know. Compared to some of the other places I've heard about already with dragons and monsters [ which her world has too but, y'know, gotta keep spinning that web of lies ] mine seems... Kind of plain?

Nothing to write home about, anyway.

It just seems like an odd way to refer to one's world. Most people share some kind of connection with it, people or places. Memories. Enough to make it lasting as a home.

[hasitsthorns]

I moved around a lot. So, I don't really have any 'home' like most people do.

[sentiences]

Even so, the world usually leaves some kind of tangible response. And you must have a favourite place of some kind?

[hasitsthorns]

[ That? That's easy to answer. ]

Japan. It's my home country and... Even for not having a 'home' for a long time, it always called me back.

[sentiences]

[ Dorian nods. ]

It holds a piece of you.

[hasitsthorns]

[ That's one way to put it. Sometimes, Rose thinks it's more like a vice grip she'll never be able to escape. ]

Yeah. It's hard to deny that, I guess.
