[ Hux is seated at a desk with his chin resting on curled fingers, not quite at ease but in a stylised sort of contemplation. Black blazer (donned just for the broadcast) over an immaculate white shirt; civilian clothes because he can't exactly wear his uniform all the time, his meagre handout of credits having been put to tasteful use. It means nothing on this moon whether he wears FO insignia, anyway. Won't leave an impression. No, that's all down to him and a smooth introduction. ]
Good Evening. This is an appeal to anyone who may have access to a shuttle, the kind commonly used for interstellar purposes. Should it be possible to procure an adequate pilot, I'm willing to pay for a private aerial viewing of the Abandoned City. Your craft ought to have defensive measures and attack capabilities, of course, as a standard precaution. I'd rather not take chances.
Other than that, I'm ... flexible on price.
[ But not so much that he'll let himself be robbed by a scam artist, says the glint of a green eye. ]
Any amenability to this proposal is appreciated.
[ He dismisses the broadcast without another word but a curt nod that he intends to signal some measure of gratitude. Not that it matters unless someone actually responds. Having deliberately snubbed approaching Ren prior to this, Hux is also prepared to hear some loud, nasal complaintsand Rebel scum whining from the eaves. ]

What job did they assign you to?

It involves a degree of responsibility toward others who may eventually be under my command. I'd rather say no more on the subject, if you've no protests. Not until all's said and done. [ Pausing, he adds, ] I like to have as much research performed as possible before I commit to a cause.
[ Starkiller alone would be proof of that, if it still stood. ]

[ He strikes him as the type who'd rather stick to last names, though. Jim won't mind either way. ]
No, that's fine. Some things are sensitive, I get that. [ But he's curious. He's even more curious now, that he said he'd rather keep it to himself for now. Must be something really exciting. ] So, what's your name?
no subject
[ That'll do for now, no one needs to know his first-name. Jim guessed correctly. ]
As leader of the aerial division you must be an accomplished pilot. Is your ship your own or was it native to this moon?

I found her here, hidden in a deep cave underneath the waterfalls, brought her back and fixed her up. Couldn't tell you if it's native to the moon, the planet we're orbiting, or someone else entirely who simply happened to make an emergency landing.
I do have a ship back home, but it's considerably larger, and I don't actually pilot it; I'm the Captain.

The shuttle, however, is the PGS Intrepid.

Did you name her yourself, the Intrepid?
no subject
Yes, of course. It suits her. [ Suits him, too. ]
no subject
Perhaps you might tell me more about the ship you captain during the aerial survey?
no subject
Sure. I wouldn't mind that. [ Just ignore him if he starts sighing and swooning at random. ] I'm not around the Quarantine right now, but I can get in touch once I'm back. We can arrange to meet then. Does that work for you?
