If you could have one wish, what would you wish for? Not like...money or anything. Not for powers, but what would you really wish for?

[Because it's her birthday, and she wasn't really in the mood to celebrate. Of course, she'll wish for her family to be okay, for them to remember and come here so they could meet Victor. But...would that be a waste of a wish? Sure, wishes were powerful, but she was in another world, and she didn't think they would be strong enough to pull her family from one realm to the next...

Or, maybe she's just over thinking things. Maybe she just wants to talk and not think about her birthday.]

I'd be confident to give him a clean bill of health. And I should be home soon. I was just checking in at the hospital.

So...Jim could leave the hospital, soon? Really soon?

[not like he's spent much time there anyway] He can do physical therapy at home just as easily, and that's really all he needs right now.

[Well, Lucy's the reason Jim's in the hospital, so she feels SUPER guilty for it.]

So he's going back to his place and not the Guard?

I'll head straight home, Papa.

I'm not sure if he can get to his place yet. It may still be flooded. But he can go back to work whenever he wants.

[he smiles] And so will I.

...but if he needs therapy, he shouldn't work. If we want him to get better, maybe he should stay somewhere that's not at the Guard or work related.

[he's about to explain how physical therapy works, then pauses, thoughtful] Do you have somewhere in mind?

..I think we have room here, don't we?

Unless, you'll see it as more work, than anything... [A very subtle way of asking if Jim could stay with them.]

That's true. [he can't help it, he's happy she came to that conclusion without his help. Of course he was thinking the same thing, but still]

Not at all. I love having James stay with us.

I know I'd be happy having him around, so as long as he wants to stay, he's welcome.

And I have to say, I'm really happy that you like having him around now, Lucy.

Maybe you should ask him...or I could.

He's a good guy...and he's funny and smart. Plus, he likes to read. [And then softly..]..he also saved my life...so I think it's only fair that we take care of him for a while--if he wants.

[jolting]

[he has to think about this. He knows James would be happy to get the invite from either of them]

Are you going to casually ask him, or like...say it's doctor's orders? Because if he works a lot, he might only say yes to the last one. [SO. INNOCENT.]

I'd like to help take care of him...so yes?

You think so? I bet if I asked him the right way, he'll say "yes" even without it being doctor's orders.

[he beams] Between the two of us, he'll be in excellent care. Even better than a hospital.

What's 'the right way' to ask him that? I still say it's doctor's orders so he doesn't fight you on it.

[She nods] And he'll have company with the little chick. I made him--her? A nest and they seem to like it.

Well, I just want him to know I want him with us whether or not it's doctor's orders. So I'd ask as his boyfriend, see?

Hm, haven't thought of a name yet, eh? I'll help you with it when I get home.

Oh... [Well now there's a small grin on her face.] Yes, that'll work so much better.

I can't think of anything except Peep, because that's what they've been doing whenever they're hungry.

[jolting]

That sounds like a good name for a bird.

Peep? I don’t know....I mean, it could get confusing. Like, “who is peeping? Peep, that’s who. Peep keeps peeping.”

So maybe something else...and not Phoenix cause that’s cliched.

That's a good point. Any other famous birds you'd want to take inspiration from?

Not...really? [Thinking...thinking.] Not Iago. The chick isn't a parrot or anything.

Yeah, I wouldn't name it after a betrayer anyway. If we're doing Shakespeare, go with something like Horatio or Caius.
