I'm not certain, really. I've never really given it much thought. I've always been rather fond of snakes.

How is a snake like a limbless dog? I'm genuinely curious. Though by your assessment, I'm also exceedingly venomous, and I rather like that.

And yes, it's an "alien dog you've never heard of" but you really aren't missing much. Ask Cullen about them. He's Ferelden. They're inseparable from their canines.

and yeah i figured you'd get a kick out of being venomous but also you're pretty colorful in general

dogs have a variety of smells. some are pleasant. have you ever smelled a freshly slept dog?

it smells like some kind of arcane cheesy chip. like a forbidden snack. anyway its possible to bathe your dog so they dont smell bad
although they'll smell bad for a hot second because wet dogs have that certain something to them
