[ when the feed clicks on, it looks as if Tony hasn't seen his actual skin in about thirty six hours (or a bed for that long, at that, but what else is new?). there is grease smeared more of less everywhere and his hair looks like it was styled using a fork and an electrical sock, but he is grinning and looks very pleased with life as he addresses the network.]
So, since the incident that happened a few months ago involving monsters and other bullshit, I have been trying to put together a defense system for the Quarantine that would act as a primary system to both alerting us about any predators that might get too close, as well as perhaps even as a system that can be used to stun said things for easier removal deeper into the forest. [ look, Loki, he is thinking this time.]
I have come up with a prototype, [ he moves slightly to gesture over his shoulder and, if you are looking close enough you might see a turret shape amidst all the chaos in his workshop, wearing a ridiculous red, blue, and white crown but whatever ] named it Cake so far, but-- well I know that I am not the only engineer here and I think that help would be greatly appreciated.
[ sure he is sure enough that he knows this will work, but it has taken him the better part of two months to get Cake here to the point where he was confident in its build and coding. and the Quarantine will need more than one for this to work.]
Basically, what I am asking for is anyone with any background in coding, or mechanical engineering to help out in the construction and streamlining of these defensive turrets; I have coding done, but more eyes the better. I have also managed to test it out a few time with the help of some friends, but-- I know you can never be too careful.
[ is he a little rueful there? maybe.]
Anyone that might be able to help, I would be very grateful. Swing by the perimeter defense office if you can to let me know.
[ he moves as if to turn the feed off before:]
Oh, and happy birthday Steve.
[ then, with a wink, the feed is shut off]

I've been compiling notes, from interviews of those involved in recent encounters, to some research in the library.
I can work on coming up with something more organized than my current note taking system [ which involved single 'catch' words jotted down all over a piece of paper, like a drunken spider ] and get it over to you?
no subject
Do you need anything to help with that? I have some fairly decent speech to text programs if that will help you, easy to install and everything. Oh, do you happen to have video or anything for their movements?
[ because THAT WOULD ALSO BE AWESOME. ]

I don't, currently, have any tools to those ends. However, if you're offering I expect it would only make both our lives easier in the long run.
[ Because no one wants to have to read Will's chicken scratch. ]

[ he sounds rather hopeful about this, because on the one hand it means that you can test out some of the programs he has been tinkering with on the side, and two it means that the program can become more successful.]
There anything specific you would want the tablet to do?

However, he's not going to decline the offer. Particularly as this was his idea in the first place. ]
I can stop by after work, in about five hours? I'll need an address. [ He might be able to dig that up on his own but ... why? ]
I'm a fairly simple man, Mr. Naked. Might want to provide an extra sturdy case if that's an option?
no subject
[ Tony stops a moment to laugh, oh god, mr. naked, how dare you Will, how dare you. ]
Oh my god, I'm not-- Tony, call me Tony. And as break-proof as possible, can do. You do well with three dimensional interfacing?

[ At first Will wasn't sure why Tony was laughing, but when the man offers his name instead of the nom 'Mr. Naked', the profiler realizes the source of the amusement.
Rather than being embarrassed by his gaff, he merely chuckled along. ]
Will, Will Graham if we want to be formal but you can call me Will. Is three dimensional interfacing a fancy way of saying virtual keyboard?

[ there is a pause before:] If you are startled easily, just, uh, watch for the roomba. He has a bit of a mind of his own and likes shoelaces.
[meaning Tony started fiddling with more AI coding and now the roomba has a bit of a personality and he refuses to change it because, well, it is its own thing now.]
Will then. A pleasure to nearly meet you. And the digital keyboard is... part of it. I can show you when you get here if you would like. I have come across a few people who are less comfortable with some aspects of technology, so I can change it up if you would prefer that.
