[ granted, he's made a few things explode in his time with alchemy, but experimenting just for the sake of it seems kind of dangerous.

( It's not "just for the sake of it". Science is something he's good at and enjoys, this is definitely a learning process. )

Yeah! I've got safety equipment, a place where we can do stuff without hurting anyone, and everything. I've got a couple people I can contact if something does go wrong. They're all really good with stuff like this.
