[texting because he's not sure where Keith is and if he'll hear him trying to call]

I heard something that has me concerned.

Someone at the masquerade said she used to room with a woman named Allura who fits her description.

She's not here anymore. Which makes me wonder where is she?


ii. OPEN / day after

Question for those who have been here for a while. I was just told by someone that someone I knew named Allura used to be here and that's she's no longer here.

So I wanted to find out, what happens to people who just disappear? Where are they?

It's important that I know.

Not sure about going back. Were you?

[Since he had dragged Keith out of the party so now to see if he anted to go back]

[He shrugged a little.]

The auction's over, so... not sure there's much reason to at this point.

[And he'd ended up being 'bought' by Lola, which was actually okay by him, so all was well that ended well, right?]

No not really. We've already done everything that is there. Should we just head back to the housing?

[Since he knew Keith wasn't much for crowds and that... that was a crowd]

Yeah. That's fine.

[Keith was pretty done with everything. Crowds, noise, the masks, just the whole thing. He'd already connected up with Lola after she won his auction, so that was fine. And he kind of wanted to avoid Yuffie for the rest of the night after almost attacking her. Going back sounded like a plan.]

So, Hana, huh? She wasn't even planning on going to the auction until I mentioned you were going to be there.

[Shiro had enjoyed it, but had also been reaching his limit with the crowds and everything. It would be nice to just go back and rest for the remainder of the evening. And get out of the suit.

He looked over as Keith pointed out who had purchased him in the auction]

Really? She went to the auction only because you told her?

[He hadn't been expecting to hear that]

Well, I don't know if it was only reason, but she made a point of telling me that she hadn't originally planned on going, but that she was thinking of going after I mentioned it.

[He shrugged a little.]

Huh...

[Shiro shrugged after a moment]

We've hung out a few times so I definitely know her. She's a nice person.

She seemed really interested in the idea that you were going to be in the auction, so I'm not really surprised she put in a bid.

[He gave Shiro a small smirk.]

Interested that was going to be there? Did she say why?

[He's just curious. Clearly he'd made an impression on her if that is the case...]

[Keith shrugged.]

It just got her interest. Not exactly sure why.

Oh... okay.

[Shiro shrugged]

Guess it just surprised her that I was going to be doing the auction.

[Probably surprised a lot of people that he was]

Maybe.

[Keith shrugged as well.]

She almost seemed a little concerned about your showmanship and if you'd done something like that before.

Showmanship? Like I was supposed to dance or something?

[That definitely sounded odd]

Well, I guess she had some reason for that.

[Keith shrugged.]

I have no idea. She could probably tell you better than me.

Maybe you should ask her on your date.

I would hope she could. She's the one who said it. You're just the one sharing it.

[Shiro gave Keith a sideways glance at that]

Maybe I will. And you're going to try and tease me when you also have date?

[Two can play that game, bro]

[Keith just shrugged a little at the first comment, and then...

quiznak...]

Hey... someone else signed me up for this thing. You went voluntarily.

[Defensive much?]

[Zero to defensive to five seconds or less. That was Keith. But unlike others, Shiro wasn't so easily put off when Keith got defensive]

It's a joke, Keith. Besides, if you are going to dish it out, you have to be prepared to take it as well.

[tempredmental]

Yeah... whatever.

[He huffed a little, crossing his arms for a bit.]

So... how does this whole date thing work, anyway? Are we supposed to reach out to them? Or do they need to make the plans because they bought it?

[That sounded so weird.]

[He just looks a little amused at the reaction. Sorry, Keith]

Well, given this is the first time I've been involved in a date auction, I'm not sure the proper etiquette. However, I'd think they should be the one to reach out to you. If you don't hear from her, I'd say check in with her.

[tempredmental]

[Yeah... look amused, Shiro. Look amused.

Damn it.]

Alright.

[Considering it was Lola? Keith wasn't too worried about her coming to him. They lived on the same floor. He was getting to know her. She was outgoing. Very outgoing.]

I think it'll be okay. She doesn't have any issues approaching people.

Then I don't think you will have a problem there. I probably won't either.

[It was Hana after all. She was definitely forward as well. If she didn't come to him after bidding on him, he would have been surprised]

But I don't think we'll have to worry about that tonight. We can go back to the communal housing and relax while most people are still here.

[Departing early for alone time away from people? Yep]

Yeah... that sounds like a good idea.

[Keith nodded in a agreement. It would be good to take advantage of everyone being 'out' tonight, and finally get some quiet alone time... or maybe just some quiet time with Shiro.]

You mind if I hang out upstairs with you for a while?

[Shiro had less people on his floor, so even longer quiet time.]

[Shiro's definitely up for ignoring the fact that they were living with so many people and having that lack of privacy that came with it]

Of course not. After you get changed out of the suit, you can come on up.

[Since he doubted Keith wanted to hang out with him still dressed in a suit]

[Keith nodded a bit, giving Shiro a small smile.]

Okay, cool.

[It wasn't much further at that point. They got back pretty quickly, and Keith headed off the elevator at his own floor with a quick 'see you later'. Once changed into something definitely not formal... pajama pants and tee shirt... he shoved on a pair of slippers and grabbed a sweatshirt to head upstairs with.

He also rubbed his hands through his hair to loosen it back up into its typical messy, overgrown fluff. After being in the pool, but realizing he still had the auction, Lola had taken it upon herself to tame Keith's hair a little while it was wet, and he managed to behave long enough for the style to stay in place after it dried and keep it for the rest of the evening. But now he was done with that and didn't need it anymore. He'd gotten used to it the way it was, and having it different just felt plain weird.]

[Shiro had gone upstairs after Keith disembarked the elevator, changing out of his own suit and changing to a tee long sleeve shirt (the right sleeve tucked inside his metal arm) and a pair of pajama pants. He had headed out to the kitchen to make tea when Keith arrived, Shiro had standing by the door as he waited for the water]
