If anyone has been contacted by Poe Dameron about being turned into a bird...
He is fine. He is well. For the time being. [deleted]
I'm taking care of it...
And I truly do apologize for his...excitement, for lack of a better term.
If anyone is upset, just contact me directly.
Thank you.

I don't know anymore. His business is his own. I won't interfere. [As frustrating as that can be.]
Oh, are you...busy? [She certainly hopes Dany didn't respond while she was doing something else.] I'd assume he'd grow only bigger. Not sure how much bigger, but bigger nonetheless.
[And there's only one beast that comes to mind.] Rathtars, they're big creatures that have tendrils and that eat anything in it's path---anything.
No, not through a gate. I wouldn't return something through a gate, but where I was before, I was on my way to find someone. Someone very important and give him back something that was also very important....to fight against someone else. Or, I'm hoping it would be someone else.
[video] [un: j.snow]
She's not busy: it's only me. I'm her intended. Sorry for the interruption. She'll tell you, there's nothing else like her dragons where we come from.
no subject
No, no it's fine. I was taken aback, I thought I had inconvenienced her in some fashion... [And by 'intended' she's guessing he's meant to be with Dany..and possibly royal too. This certainly is a first, meeting two royals. Well, Leia does count, but she's Leia, the General. There's no comparison to her.]
So far, there's nothing like dragons from my world.
But...they don't eat anything and everything...do they?

My love, this is Rey. She and I met at the feast last month. Her home resides on another world, out among the stars.
no subject
Which stars? Our stars? [Meaning those of Westeros. Would she know which star she came from? And what would she call it, if even the shape of the stars was different for different men in the North?] Can't be these stars, or you wouldn't be here, Rey.
I'll leave it to Daenerys to tell you more of her dragons. She's raised them; I've only met them.
no subject
I don't really have a place to call home, but I did reside on a planet called Jakku. [Semantics, really.]
It's only one of a few hundreds, if not thousands of planets. But it's a planet from my world--universe if I really think about it.
no subject
What is Jakku like? Before I left my home as a boy, I wasn't sure I could call it one. I am a bastard; it was my father's home. But I missed it once I couldn't return to it.
no subject
It was a dessert, Sir. Very little life grew there, and there were days when it felt as though you were breathing in the sun itself. It wasn't my home, it was a place where I lived and waited for any family to return.
[A bastard meets an orphan.]
no subject
[The rest of what she says gives him a moment's pause, and is touching, in its way. He had become an orphan when his father died, but before that, he had given up all claim to family outside of the brotherhood. He speaks with curiosity and sympathy.]
Your family left you there? It must have been hard.
no subject
[There's a pause as she debates about opening up...they have something in common, but she doesn't want pity. The very last thing she needs is pity.]
Yes, they did. I don't remember why they did...but I was left there when I was a child. I worked as a scavenger--someone who collected parts of ships, old abandoned ships, to see what parts we could find. Some were worth more than others, and the parts that we could get to work again were more valuable. Traded in parts for food and water. Same thing, everyday.
[She speaks softly and calmly, like it's not a big deal. Somewhat a slave, just a different name.]
no subject
Someone kept you there on Jakku, while you were waiting?
[The fact that he doesn't like this idea is visible on his face. He wasn't a slave in the Watch, but he had been a boy who had never had as many choices as some others might, and they had dwindled until he'd felt like he'd had only one.]
They might have fed you whether you found anything or no.
no subject
[Just suggesting. That's all she can do, since she doesn't know anything about this wedding business.]
I was..left behind. My family left me there, I can't remember why, but I was left on Jakku. Until they returned, I had to survive.
[She thinks for a moment, recalling the many times she went to bed hungry because she had to ration things out.]
No, I wouldn't have been fed. Depending on the value of your work determined how much they gave you. Sometimes it was enough for a day, sometimes barely that. You had to learn to be careful with your food, in case a sandstorm hits. Sometimes they lasted days, and you had to have enough food to get you through that and until you could find something worth trading.

This is why I spent so many years in Slaver's Bay. Her story was the experience of so many. Here or anywhere, we must see to it that no one is made to wear chains.

Whoever did that to you was evil. Were there others like you, in the same situation?
no subject
Yes, there were others, but there wasn't much to be done about it. You could try to leave, but there was no where to go. Or try and find work with one of the others stopping by, perhaps join their crew and leave that way. Or.. [There's a faint, bitter smile on her face.] Repair a ship.
Don't have to deal with him anymore..and possibly no one else.

It's as though anything is possible. ( She ceases to address the topic of magic, as it seems only to needle her. )
Not at all. I don't live alone here, so you may see him from time to time when we speak. As for Viserion, well: the others are as large as ships themselves, if not larger still. Dragons never cease to grow, and they can live for centuries.
Tendrils... tentacles, you mean? ( Like a kraken. ) That sounds entirely vile.
Who threatens your world?
video
Yes, indeed.
If he wants to join us while you and I speak, I don't mind. He is your intended. [She shrugs, because she isn't sure how this is all supposed to work, but whatever.] Wow, they don't cease to grow...how do you keep them well fed--and not on people or other equipment? That's what a rathtar does..more or less. It simply eats and it's vicious.
Yes...like..what you're thinking of. One of them grabbed hold of my friend, Finn, but I was able to close to door on the tendril and it let him go--finally.
That's...that's a question for another day. It's a long story. A very long story.
Re: video
I'll pass that along. ( And she does, turning to take a moment to call over her shoulder. In the meantime, the little dragon has taken a keen interest in the camera, and the image is filled in its entirety by a bronze eye before Dany pulls him away, laughing a little. ) They keep themselves fed when they're larger. Teaching them what is acceptable to hunt and what isn't is a challenge.
Finn — ah. The young man with a fondness for leather jackets. I'm glad you saved him, though I'm certain none may be moreso than he is.
When or if you're ever ready to tell the tale, I'll make the time to listen.
video
I can only imagine how hard it is to teach them what to eat--and what not can be difficult, especially when they bigger. How long will the little one stay that small? [So tiny and cute, but she can only imagine how much bigger it'll be.]
Oh, you've met him. Yes, the jacket was given to him by another friend. [There's a soft chuckle, recalling that moment.] We were both in awe that he didn't get eaten.
You're too kind. It's something you don't need to worry yourself with. This evil...it will be stopped. There are no doubts about that.
video
No more than a few months, before he'll begin to grow. A little more with each passing year. His brothers are six now, if that helps to envision how quickly they can become so large.
Yes; he lives on the same floor of the building as Jon and I. ( She smiles a little. ) He was overwhelmed by this place, I think.
Good. The evil in our world cannot be allowed to continue existing, no matter if we reside there any longer, or elsewhere.
video
He has brothers? Are they here? [Can a moon of this size support that many dragons? And Stars, Hiccup had a dragon too, how big will that one get? ...Hopefully there's enough game and food to go around.]
Oh, we're in the same building then. The Communal Building. I'm on the 12th floor. Well, I was overwhelmed by this place when I first arrived...it's a common thing.
I take it, the evil will be vanquished with the aid of your dragons?
video
( Those among the Masters who'd continuously opposed her will have been dispensed with. Whoever is left alive will either abide by it or die. )
They aren't. Not yet. Drogon and Rhaegal, black and green, respectively. ( If there's a monster problem now, there likely wouldn't be in a world with four dragons. At least not in the immediate vicinity. )
We've been living on the third for some weeks now. Your friend — he's the companion of the little fellow who speaks in numbers, isn't he? I mean the one who was turned into a bird.
Yes. Only dragonglass and a certain sort of steel can destroy them otherwise.
video
I cannot believe your blood would do that. What for? Power? Greed? [She can only hope the bastard is in a cell or better yet, dead.]
Not yet? So you do think they might come here? I don't know if this place will be enough for them...[She looks pensive now, trying to figure out how two other dragons, big ones, could survive here...and not eat everything in sight. She realizes what she's doing and snaps out of it.] Sorry, I'm sure you have an idea already in place.
Yes, Poe is my friend who turned into a bird. [There's a tired sigh there. She's been dealing with explanations of the sort.] Poe is BB-8's master--that is, Poe takes care of BB-8, we all do. Finn, and myself. [Droids can't be enslaved...right?]
I take it the dragonglass and steel can be shaped into weapons and you'll use those as well?
video
( This woman's fury is beautiful; and on her behalf, too. Years, she's spent inspiring others to believe in themselves, to seize to freedom they'd been born entitled to. Yet it's still something to behold when someone empathizes with her enough to feel something so strongly.
It endears this woman to her, and why not? They're both survivors. )
I don't think; I believe. If my king and I can be so, so might my dragons. ( Her eyes regard Rey with mild amusement. ) There is an entire jungle full of game, so I've heard.
The cheerful little fellow—I remember, he wanted your friend to teach me to speak his language.
And yes. What we have is what we have, and I won't stand for anything less than a victory against such filth as the dead risen again.
video
Fair point. They could come here...I just hope the people here will be ready for it. [And not go screaming about, acting like idiots.] There is, I haven't run into anything in there yet, but I haven't ventured out there...yet. [There could be things to find there, or maybe clues..or who knows. Maybe Cisco needed something there.]
BB-8 is a friendly droid, doesn't surprise me that he would ask Poe to teach you. the more people can understand him, the better. If he happens to come by, beeping and such, you'd at least know if he was trying to warn you of anything.
From you've told me, I have no doubts you and your King will be victorious.
