Hey everyone! I don't post on here super often, but I've been laid up for a week now and I'm going a little crazy. Total cabin fever.

I used to see forums like this on the internet back home, and I thought it might be kind of fun here too, so I thought I'd give it a try, because reading those forums was always a lot of fun.

So, Crowd-Sourced Relationship Advice!

I turned on anonymous posting on here, so you can make a fake username and submit a description of a problem that you're having in your relationships, either romantic or at work or whatever, and other anonymous people can give you advice!

What if living with it isn't going so well?

I know I should suggest something along the lines of "looking forward rather than behind", but it sounds like rubbish if I read it aloud.
I find looking at what one *has* rather than what one *hasn't* helps a bit.

I'm having another glass a lot lately.

This year, maybe the past two or three years, have been rough. Feels like one thing after another.

I know I’m lucky to have friends. A job I don’t hate. A team I trust. It’s not like back home, but it’s something.

I know the feeling.

On both counts.

It does get easier, not perfect, mind, but *easier*.

I'm looking forward to that.

I haven't felt this shitty in... actually it wasn't too long ago.

Would be nice if life stopped sucker-punching me.

I find the entire situation is much easier to stomach of you embrace your run of luck, wear it as a badge of honor.

That's what I try to do.

It's what everyone thinks I do.

But it's not how I feel. I'm pretty used to faking it, though.

Fake it until you make it.

The question is how will we know we've made it?

Beats me.

I'm guessing when we're dead, if we make the history books.

"This guy knew what he was doing."

And, as a sub-epitaph:
"At least he put on a good show of it, and we can't fault him for that."

At least it's not:

"He tried so hard and got so far. But in the end it didn't even matter."

Most organized religions are, it's true.

Sadly no, though they do have something similar in the Imperium. Theirs, though, is much more flavorful.
