Hey everyone! I don't post on here super often, but I've been laid up for a week now and I'm going a little crazy. Total cabin fever.

I used to see forums like this on the internet back home, and I thought it might be kind of fun here too, so I thought I'd give it a try, because reading those forums was always a lot of fun.

So, Crowd-Sourced Relationship Advice!

Time. And the strength to accept the loss.

When my husband died, I threw myself into distraction. Trying to fill up the place in my life where he'd been. It didn't turn out well, in the end.

Well, I have veritable oodles of time. I thought I had strength, maybe not in the right ways.

I'm sorry to hear that our situations sound very similar. It's not a life I'd wish on anyone.

We live the life we're given, or we do not. For me, it's not a hard choice.

Fair point. I suppose when things go badly back home, it's easier to throw myself into something.

Now I just have to live with the discomfort.
