What are the birthday traditions on your home planets?

[ jyn hasn't celebrated a birthday in something like... fifteen years so to say she's out of practice would be a gross understatement. she tells herself this is cultural anthropology, her mother would be proud. TIME TO LEARN, time to attempt to live like a normal human being... ]

Christmas is the Earth holiday about the baby, correct?

It's the day that the son of God, Jesus Christ, was born. Yes. Much of the time though, it's used as a day for family and giving gifts to show how much you care for them.

Sure.

That sounds like many of the holidays here.

[sweetlies]

You're not wrong. It makes it hard to do something like that as regularly as Riverview seems to have those kinds of celebrations. Especially when you're bad at picking out gifts.

Don't give gifts then.

Do something instead.

I'm not sure what I could do either. I never had friends until I came here.

What would you do?

Explore. Find a new place no one has and then you'd have that. Stuff is useless. It breaks or you lose it or you leave. But experiences and memories, you keep.

That's actually a good idea. I'm not sure many people would really consider that normally.
