[Cable doesn't waste much time signing in to Riverview's network, opting for audio as a means to announce himself.]
New arrival to the Quarantine. Name's Cable. [He pauses for a moment. He's checking stuff out as he roams around, both in the scenery and the network itself. He's been in different periods of time and has been dumped randomly in places before. So excuse him if he sounds fairly casual about all of this.]
Guessing there's no known way out of this place, right? [At least they aren't restricted to just the city/town by the look of things. A little exploring might do him some good, then.]
..Right.

Well, if you have any other rhetorical or non-rhetorical questions, you currently got me. I'm waiting for my code to comply and it's super boring.

But I'm bored too. Got any questions for the new guy?

As for the exploring, you should be careful beyond the wall. There's tons of creepy stuff there.
audio un:pnwsalex
Sounds like plenty to keep me busy, at least.

And yeah, it really is never dull here.

[More time periods than anything, but eh, it's all kind of similar.]
Good.

[Alex sounds a little impressed, because she is.]
Do you have like some sort of device or does the universe just kinda throw you around willy nilly?
no subject
A device, usually. Sometimes it feels like both.

Then again, it doesn't seem to have been a planned trip for the other mutant.]
People have disappeared, but ah ain't heard where they go. [She pauses with a frown. The information she has about that is spotty at best.] You come bearing bad news Cable?
[She also texts him a location of an access point to beyond the wall. In case he wants a tour with an in person run down.]
Action
Not this time. [For once.]
[He's gonna head to that access point now and responds saying as much.]

When she sees him approaching, she floats herself down to the ground and offers him a welcoming grin. No matter what time he's from, it's good to see another familiar face.]
Hello Nathan. Dare ah ask what you remember last?
no subject
More-so than the gruff Cable was of course.]
Would be understandable, in my case. I was in the future with Hope. Raising her.
no subject
At his response, her eyebrow raises and she lets out a resigned exhale.]
Ah'm still from your past obviously, but it's been a bit since then. You've brought her to our time already.
[Which by the heaviness of her voice it sounds like all didn't quite go as planned. But, when does that ever happen?]
no subject
So she'll convince me then.
[He doesn't sound too surprised by that part of it. Hope had taken to asking him about going back to the present more often as she got older.]

People disappear sometimes. There's never much warning. But sometimes they come back and it turns out they were just returned home for awhile. Can't say if that's what happens every time though.
voice; un: n.summers
Public network records and all that jazz. Just to see if any names were familiar...or trouble.]
Captain.
[He can hear the familiarity in Cable's voice, the mutant not disguising it. Steve Rogers is one of the few people in the history of the world that is genuinely worthy of respect.]
There's no pattern to it?
voice;
But with all the different timelines crossing in this place, the surprise quickly wears off. If not him, this man might be someone the other Steve knows.]
No pattern that anyone can distinguish for sure. At least, not as far as I've heard.
And since you sound familiar with who I am, you should know that there are other Steve Rogers here then just me. [There are three to be exact.]
voice;
Still--]
So you aren't the one I know. Not complaining either way. I'm sure you're a good man too.
voice;
I can put you in contact with the other Steve I know. He might be your guy. But you can just as easily reach out to him yourself. He goes by sg.rogers on the network.
voice
Thanks, Captain. I'm sure I'll bump into him one way or another.
