Okay, so this is amazing. I have a room with a bed — and I'm not entirely sure what they expect me to do with that. Also my own chair! It's a sweet deal.

[ Seriously. A chair. His own space. Let the android have his moment okay. ]

Unfortunately, I don't think my charging station came with me on the trip here. Does anyone know anyone technically minded or with a large amount of appliances and scrap? I kind of need it so I don't run out of power. Low charges are hellish.

[ Dorian frowns, mulling it over. ]

I could try a direct connection to the power grid, but I'm worried the city won't be able to handle it.

Oh, like I said, I can handle the power part. I mean getting it to you. Do you have like a charging port or something?

[sentiences]

[ Oh. His expression clears up. ]

No, but making one shouldn't be a problem. I could tap a wire into my neck or build one, like in the schematics.

Fair enough.

[Tony can appreciate a good kludge when necessary. And he has plenty of experience with plugging things into himself, so hey.]

Seems manageable, then. Swing by my lair some time and we can mess around with some stuff, I'll send you directions.

[ Dorian was not keen on having mood swings due to a low charge, but he was also unsure on how to go about it. These things were usually done for him. ]

[sentiences]

I don't know. Maybe I should look into clothes. I think I have my own closet?

[ He's still taking it all in, give him some time. ]

That, I am less helpful for.

[Well he could be, but most people don't really go to Tony for fashion advice.]

[sentiences]

[ Dorian chuckles. ]

It's fine. I'll figure it out. It's a whole new world out there for me.

Sounds like it.

[And really, Tony does have a soft spot for genuine enthusiasm. Even if he didn't already like Dorian on his own.]

Just give me a heads up before you decide to stop by. I can introduce you to Dum-E.

[The camera suddenly swings around to point at the metal arm on wheels tucked into the corner.]

Dum-E, say hi.

[And the arm comes up suddenly, claw at the front contracting and expanding like an attempt at a wave.]

[sentiences]

[ Dorian grins, a flash of bright teeth as he speaks in perfect seriousness. ]

Hello, Dum-E. It's a pleasure.

[buildsomething]

[The arm bounces up and down enthusiastically, and the camera twists back to show Tony's amused face.]

He's not much of a conversationalist, but at least he's got his looks.

[sentiences]

I'm sure he's fine the way he is. He's definitely got personality.

[buildsomething]

Oh yeah. Plenty of that.

[Tony rolls his eyes, but his expression is fond.]

[sentiences]

Robots don't usually get to hang out with robots. Or have personalities, I find.

[buildsomething]

No? Seems like a waste.

[Not that Tony doesn't have a few of the personality-free ones himself, but those are just for manufacturing. And they didn't get to come through any weird portals, so it goes to show.]

Anyway, I've also got my AI JARVIS, I think I told you about him.

[sentiences]

[ Dorian purses his lips, a very human-like gesture he's imitating. ]

Not sure about JARVIS. You did mention Vision, though. Is he here?

[buildsomething]

Vision? Not that I've seen. He's kind of hard to miss, though.

[The color-scheme alone would do it, really. And fashion accessory.]

[sentiences]

How so?

[ He's actually curious about Vision. About other robots. He wonders how much of his experiences are shared. Or universal. He's never thought about being alone or feeling alone. It's hard to get bogged down when you're so relieved to be alive. ]

[buildsomething]

He's tall, colorful, and walks through walls. And he has a cape, because he learned bad habits from someone.

[Not pointing any fingers, Thor. Though the cape is probably still better than the cosby sweaters.]

I'd hope if he was around, he'd have tried to get in touch.

[sentiences]

[ All of that sounds amazing. Except for the cape. He doesn't get the appeal. ]

I'm sure he would. He wouldn't do that to you.

I mean, my partner would pretend not to know me, but he has a grumpy disposition.

[buildsomething]

Vision's a lot of things, but definitely not grumpy.

[Tony's not even sure if he's managed sarcasm yet. Which, come to think of it, the cognitive dissonance of having Vision and JARVIS in the same place would be a hell of a thing.]

Anyway, it's just as well he gets to stay home. Someone's got to look after the place.
