Hey everyone! I don't post on here super often, but I've been laid up for a week now and I'm going a little crazy. Total cabin fever.

I used to see forums like this on the internet back home, and I thought it might be kind of fun here too, so I thought I'd give it a try, because reading those forums was always a lot of fun.

Tough one, especially when your partner's perceptive.

Well first of all, when you're preparing a surprise like that, you should make it seem like a normal date. Something you usually do. Don't ask them out and then take them to a hotel or something, that'll just give you away. But, for instance, if you usually have them over for dinner, use an excuse like that. Mask the true purpose of the date with something you have done before and would do again.

And then the basics, which would be not acting any differently, not laughing or giggling nervously when you're around them, and cover your tracks.

My partner being perceptive isn't really an issue. I like that they know me so well. It's like we're in sync half the time, and I swear they can read my mind.

But that could just be me being overly blunt and up front.

I know it sounds strange, but the surprise of it is half of what I'm going for.

Probably. But it's why we work well together.

I wouldn't say that. I just like how they react when I do something unexpected. I love making them happy and us being adventurous together.

Not sure if this is making sense. I tend to lose my thoughts when I think about or talk about my partner.

So your main issue is that you suck at keeping things secret, basically. Have you successfully surprised them before, or would this be your first try?

Well. Secret from my partner, anyway.

Maybe. Not always intentionally. But this is my first try at surprising him with something kinky.

He'll definitely love it, though.

Well, did you succeed before? As they say, practice makes perfect. Knowing you're capable of surprising them— him in some way is half the way there. Now you just have to figure out how to plan this in a way he won't suspect a thing.

From what little you've told me, sounds to me like your guy would love anything you did.

I know he will. That's actually what I love most about him. He sees every part of me and loves it. I'd go on, but I'm saving all the words about how he makes me feel for when I see talk to him. Anyway, he'll definitely know it's me once I get going.

As I said, I'm not subtle.

But even if he figures it out, it's okay. I like how excited he gets when he knows what I'm about to do for him.

[Well, he is trying, but he doesn't really want James to be taken completely by surprise. It may be influenced by past experience when doing so went very badly. As optimistic as he is these days, Victor still prefers James having some idea of what to expect]

I couldn't help noticing you didn't discuss leather. Or is it implied in one of those kinks?

Depends on the amount of leather. Restraints, clothing, accessories, toys and the like, that's a yes. Those full leather masks are a little too much for me personally, though.

Other than blindfolds, I don't think I'd be into anything that would restrict me from seeing his face.

Though the ones they wear at masquerades might be interesting. I'll have to put a pin in that.

Yeah, those masks are fine. Blindfolds, too. I can see why the full masks would be exciting in terms of restraint and control, but it's a little much for me. Even if I am into both those kinks.
