What are the birthday traditions on your home planets?

[ jyn hasn't celebrated a birthday in something like... fifteen years so to say she's out of practice would be a gross understatement. she tells herself this is cultural anthropology, her mother would be proud. TIME TO LEARN, time to attempt to live like a normal human being... ]

It's not my birthday, that's already passed. I'm just curious.

Have you had one of Taako's cupcakes? We still have one in the fridge if you want it.

Anything Taako makes is amazing, but you hold onto it. Thanks though.

So why the question about birthday’s?

Maybe I like learning about other cultures. We can't planet hop here so this was the next best thing I could think of.

But...you get used to staying in one place. Though, I do miss flying.

Since I was three and my mother took me to Alpinn. Just because I'm not social doesn't mean I'm not curious.

You remember that trip?

Figured you were curious and smart--but why all of a sudden on birthday traditions? I mean, unless it's been on your mind for a while.

Interesting. I can't say I've ever been anywhere before living on Jakku.

Oh. Are you thinking of doing something in private--for you and him, or something like a small party?

[Because..best to ask. Those two have been through a lot, so she would think Jyn may want to do...something romantic-ish? Or maybe something extra nice for Cassian?]

If I threw him a party, I don't think he'd be friends with me anymore.

But maybe a few people anyway.

Not like the parties we've been too--like Jim's. But, more like...a smallish gathering and watch a movie?

Any excuse for cake I will take, yes.

But I will not let him win paintball. He will have to win that on his own merit.

How many cakes are you thinking? Just one? Or a lot of tiny ones?

I think he'd be insulted if you "let" him win.

Maybe one large one. Taako usually makes us cupcakes.
