Yo, I'm Houzuki Suigetsu, and this is my first network post of all time. I'm gonna make an announcement to commemorate it, so listen, okay? I won't repeat myself just 'cause you wouldn't pay attention the first time around!

(hope your phone has a translator, because it's notably japanese, both spoken and written on the sign suigetsu lifts up. it looks handmade and like something a child in elementary school could cook up. and while there's an attempt at english, to appease the majority of the people here, both languages have poor spelling and even poorer handwriting.)

Do you like fish and fish-like things? Amphibians and, uh, things that look a lot like amphibians that I'm not too sure about? Well, look no further than—



(eyes creasing, there's a flash of pointy chompers that make him look like he belongs there.)

We were open before this, but I thought that there should be more of you guys going now that I work there. Like the sign says, we're open every single day except for Sunday, from nine in the morning till five in the evening. This might mean that you can't come, 'cause you're at your own job, but you should leave there and come here for a tour instead!

What do you think? It's a swell idea, right? Are you coming right now?

(a tilt to his head, raising the phone back up so only his eyes, his forehead, and his fish friends are visible. many bubbles are blown, many alien crab pincers are pinced. and honestly? it looks kind of fun.)

Don't make it that obvious in your advertisement; that's my point. [ But... there's something about the change in Suigetsu's demeanor that gets to him -- even him -- and his tone softens marginally. ]

I can't speak for the design of the sign. It just contains spelling errors.

Oh, we have a ton of really colourful fish, more colourful than your hair. Some can even glow in the dark, 'cause they're bioluminescent. I don't know how that works, but I'm working on it.

(points to himself, giving a wider grin.) As for my teeth, they sure are. I was born with these babies.

Oh, then, maybe I should check it out. I don't know much about fish. My- someone from home tried to explain why marine life is cool but I couldn't get it.

*Don't grin like that with shark teeth. That's weird, how is that okay? What happens when you make out with someone!?*

[ Well, the sign is completely lost on Líadan. That chicken scratch is unlike any writing she's seen, not that Etan and Nemedic runes are much better. She has a bit better luck with the spoken language due to her phone's translation devices, at least, but it does take her a minute to really process the translation on account of computerized reading, during which time she will ponder those pointy chompers of his. As excited as he seems, though? It's kind of hard not to entertain the idea of going to... uh, well, she's not exactly sure where she's going since she can't read, but seeing exotic fish and fish-like things sounds pretty fantastic. ]

I'm sold! I was on the way to ask about a job, but I think I can make time for this. I really would hate to pass up the opportunity, so... where am I going again?

I hope you're not afraid of small places, or anything. There's a big tunnel that makes it feel like you're underwater.

[Eichi had seen Suigetsu's little advertisement on the network, and he wasn't about to harass him over it only to be scolded by Sasuke. On top of that, when he is genuinely interested in a truce of some kind, he doesn't think relying on the network would be the best bet. Neither would going to the other extreme and simply showing up at his door, so he finds middle ground and heads to the aquarium. It isn't a bad place to visit, either.

After some walking around to observe the fish, he finally flags someone down and asks where he can find Suigetsu, and is helpfully directed his way. Carrying a nicely wrapped box containing a gift of a strangely unique tea set, he spots Suigetsu up ahead and thanks the worker, heading towards him on his own.]

(suigetsu is sought out while feeding a touch-tank of mollusks and other harmless sea creatures. things that look like sea cucumbers, sea urchins, kid-friendly fish, and other beings of the ocean — he barely pays attention to the entrance. or his employee addressing him, telling him he has a visitor.

he does turn, however, after a moment of chatting quietly to his fish friends, thinking it's sasuke.

What are you doing here? (it feels like a taunt, like there's something being dangled in front of him.) You came alone, too. That's pretty ambitious of you, Eichi-kun.

Mm, well, I knew that if I were to catch Houzuki-kun in a public place that he enjoys, he'd be more likely to behave.

[Not that he minds being called ambitious, honestly. Even with Suigetsu's stare and his tone, Eichi can only consider that a compliment. He's quick to stop in front of him, holding out the neatly wrapped box with both hands.]

Before you become irritated with me, you should know I'm not here to harass you or anything like that. I wanted to apologize, so won't you consider this a peace offering? It would have felt strange to come empty handed.
