I'm missing my MAC-10 machine pistols, nunchucks and knuckle busters. Anyone knows where to get those? Oh, and a proper bullet proof suit.

I started boxing at five. Shooting came at age seven.

Yeah, that sounds about right. I learned how to shoot first. Then they went and crippled my education.

[Alright, he thinks there's just two here, when he bothers to see what's going on. But it's close enough.

I only know one back at home. How many are there?

I dunno. Two? Three? Or one who's got real good body doubles. I don't keep track. People come and go a lot and I haven't ever talked to the guy-- guys. Whatever.

Haven't heard of Captain Marvel either. You guys have such weirdass names. Don't tell me you've got one.

[ gabby makes the most infuriated face. ]

Of course I do! It's cool. I'm the Honey Badger.

[Ronan's face goes perfectly blank as he sees all the cool names he'd thought of vanish before his eyes.]

You could've gone with Nunchukking or hell, even Gun Girl, and you picked Honey Badger.

Honey Badger is cool! It fits our theme and it works because it sounds sweet but also has killer claws.

What kind of theme goes with Honey Badger?

I don't care if it has claws. It's got the word honey. Is your best friend Winnie, code name The Pooh?

I grew up on a farm. I know plenty. A pissed off cow can kill you but no one's scared of the milk man.

[Ronan huffs.]

Did he teach you to be little Miss Vigilante?

[ gabby blinks. ]

No, he didn't. I'm a clone. I was taught that stuff because people wanted me to kill for them.

[Ronan doesn't blink but he does stare rather oddly. Gabby may be only thirteen and call herself Honey Badger, but Ronan can think of no other way to put this.]

That's fucked up.

But it wasn't messed up when I told you I had gun training at the age of seven?

[ but she knows it's messed up. all the training, the various cruelties. the slow deaths her sisters suffered. ]

There's a difference between being taught how to use a gun and being told to go kill someone with it.

[There's also the cloning thing, but Ronan lost his rights to talk about the ethics of that.]

Clones are expendable. You can hurt them as many times as you want and it wouldn't matter. You can get them to do whatever you want because they owe you their lives.

[ it never mattered. gabby can't feel pain so in that, they were "spared". but it robbed them of so much more and they knew it. ]

[It's slight change, but Ronan's expression tightens and his eyes shift to the side for a moment. The memory of his own double dying because of him is one he's tried hard to suppress.]

Kind of. My sister rescued me from all of that.

[ sisters, plural, to be honest. ]

[The thought of her possibly going back to that is horrifying. He just met her and her code name is a fucking waste, but no one deserves that.]

But unless your sister shows up, you're on your own with those guns.

You should think about the tank for when you're old enough.
