[ Magnus sticks a finger out at the phone's screen, tapping the glass and knocking the image out of focus for just a second. However, he quickly realizes he’s made a mistake and fixes the camera focus accordingly. ]

Sorry, I’m just not used to this kinda stuff. I think my fingers are too big for this thing... But I’ll figure it out quick! Anyway, hi, I’m Magnus, and… Well, I guess I’d be lying if I said I was completely happy to be here — [ His face looks as if he’s guilty to be saying this, but it almost instantly lights back up. ] — But I’ll make the most of it while I’m here! Y’know, I’m always happy to make new friends. Just let me know if you need, uh, a chair, or a bed, or a bodyguard or something!

[ He reaches forward to turn off the camera, but pauses, quizzical. He retracts his hand. ]

You should also let me know if you have a dog that I might be able to pet. …I hope dogs exist here.

[ The camera shuts down with the press of a button. ]

[Ed doesn't have a phone, and he still bristles at the idea that other people here call their devices phones. That's not what a phone was where he was from. Since he didn't have any modern tech, he'd arrived here from Attollo with his device from that world in tact, Orientation had made sure to get it hooked up to the proper network and functioning like everyone else's.]

He's precious and he has tiny needle teeth and a love of chewing on my leather boots, jackets, and bags. Just ask Taako, he's been witness to the frequent massacres.

[ Well this is just... bizarre. Cisco recognizes Magnus's face in the video even before he says his name, from a few of the visions he's had of Taako's past and future. But there's just no non-creepy way of mentioning that, and besides, he's not going to go telling a random stranger about his powers, even if by all accounts Magnus is a good dude. So he's just going to act like he doesn't know who Magnus is, and figure out from there. ]

Heya, Magnus. I'm Cisco. If you ever need help figuring out your phone or the network or any of the other fancy tech stuff here, just hit me up. And if it really is too small for your hands I can probably hook you up with one that's a little bigger.
