[Two days after Remy's pot-luck and Freya is barely able to sit up without her head reeling. She doesn't know what it means. Her race doesn't get sick. In fact, Freya has never felt sick in her life, except for today. She feels like utter crap. Everything aches and despite her best efforts, she can't seem to focus enough to shift into a wolf. She has convinced herself that it would be easier in that shape, it's who she is, her true self but, damn it, she's too tired.

Her eyes close and she sleeps for hours, not bothering to call out of work in the process. When she wakes up it's the middle of the night and she can't get back to sleep. . .

6 Hours of watching the shadows on the ceiling and she's moved her attention to her phone in an expression of utter dismay.

Being sick fucking sucks and she doesn't want to do it anymore. Her text's aren't particularly long but they are sent out in broke fragments of someone who can't focus or even keep their thoughts straight without jumping topics.]

The charge on my DS died and then I lost it somewhere on the other side of the room. I don't know what else to do with myself. It's a little funny. I stole that DS from the lost and found during the short time that I had worked at Dave and Busters and now its lost. Get it? Funny.

Question: how do people with no chins put on pillowcases? Have you ever seen someone with no chin and thought that? I think that's a very real concern for people with no chins. They should have support groups and we can invent devices that put pillows on cases.

There are 27.65 tiles on the ceiling and each tile averages about 207 small dots.

Ignore that, my eyes were closed.

Imagine a puzzle where half of the pieces are the same shape and you're not sure what the picture is but you're trying to put it together… that's a fairly accurate description as to how I feel right now.

My answer is the word that's shaped like YES.

I want to eat something that taste like the color blue. FEED ME BLUE! I am Freya! The destroyer of colors! RAAAAAAWR

Do robots have to learn how to put bananas on waffles? WHO DOESN'T PUT BANANA'S ON WAFFLES!? WAFFLES!

I am bored.

And I don't get sick.

Human's get sick.

[Freya has a high fever and isn't able to think clearly. She's laying across her bed on the fourteenth floor in the communal housing, clad in her Captain America pajama's. Her skin is pale and her face flushed. She's laying on her side with her light gray eyes focusing in and out on the phone resting next to her. Her long blonde hair is messy and tousled all over the bed while dots of sweat glimmer across her brow.

She isn't sure if she has the strength to stand but she's going to try and possibly hobble around barefoot, tightly clasping her phone in her left hand and looking like death.]

[It's weird doing this in his pajamas but here it is. And he'd rather be broadcasting from his office, but he's in his bedroom]

My fever broke early this morning, and now I'm wondering if I ever had a fever at all. When I first contracted this virus I was exhibiting symptoms of disorientation and the sensation of intense heat on my skin, along with profuse sweating. But last night I had a very vivid dream and when I woke up, I didn't feel hot anymore.

The symptoms of conflicting sensory perception still persist. And this morning when I tried to eat breakfast, I couldn't taste anything. I'm not sure if this is a new symptom or part of the sensory perception now affecting my taste buds. I'm going to do some experimenting by wearing my glasses. I've also taken a blood sample that I'm hoping to do some work on.

Let's see... [He pauses to scratch his neck] What else? Oh, for those experiencing conflicting sensory perception, I've discovered that distraction works for me. So I read books out loud or draw things, listen to some music... Heavy metal works really well. [He scratches again, now at his elbow] I've walked around my room a few times without getting disoriented. And... um... [He scratches between his shoulder blades]

Uh, sorry. I'm really itchy all of a sudden. Feels a little like that time I got poison ivy. So that's new.

However he does his best to appear completely at ease and most people wouldn't notice a thing.]

I've noticed something regarding the recent disease outbreak. It's not of biological origin, it's caused by nanites. I believe it targets the central nervous system so that's how those of you who are theoretically immune to sickness might be feeling a little under the weather anyway.

I can't tell you how it spreads due to the method in collecting this data, nor can I pinpoint the source without devoting more resources than I currently have to it. I've also discovered they're self-replicating so it's only a matter of time before my own efforts to hold it at bay fail. This does suggest that there's a magical component to it as well.

[He holds up his glass of whiskey as if to toast.]

Old man, I've taken the liberty of uploading everything I've found so far to you and you'll continue to receive updates for as long as I'm able. [Alex actually looks awake and happy and downright cheerful today. Someone should probably be afraid or take the coffee away. But she's got a new project that she can throw her work into, and nothing tends to energize Alex like a new project or a new lead.]

Hey guys, I'm Alex Reagan. Today I want to talk to you about Pokemon Go. I know it's probably not as sobering as it should be with the holiday going on, but I wanted to get working on it sooner rather than later!

[Alex kind of went slightly off the rails for a little while, but she's back on them which is why this has taken so long.]

So back on my version of Earth, and other versions to apparently, there's this game called Pokemon Go. It's played using a cellphone and GPS and allows you to go out and collect computer generated pokemon from random places, and you can then train them and battle against other players with them. I know we have actual pokemon here, but these don't require you know, actually catching them and caring for them and stuff. [Alex thinks it's cruel because she doesn't know any better!] Back home, a lot of people do it as a family activity, or just as physical fitness because you actually need to go out and go to the places where they are.

When I was talking with someone, it struck me that this could be a good idea for here. It's kind of a low-stakes just having fun being out and doing something sort of thing. When I was talking with Tony Stark, who reversed engineered the app and is my hero for doing so, but it's not as simple as just having the program. And that's where you guys come in.

[Alex is grinning a bit, and she's got her best convincing face on. It's a good convincing face.]

So, in order to make the game go, we need to have a good virtual map of Riverview Quarantine and the places within the settlement that we shouldn't have people be going, unless you know, they're a trained person or know what they're doing. Where this app can be helpful, not only as a community based effort, or something we can do together, is that it's something we can take the info from and use it to show newbies where not go to and everything like that. Simple, right?

Now, I'm a runner, and I'm out there putting in my three miles or so every day, and I see other folks who run, walk, just go exploring, do perimeter sweeps with the guard and that sort of thing. You guys can help with the rending, all you need to do is go about your daily lives and just click the app open when you come where we have a blank spot in the map. I definitely want people to be safe as possible when doing this, so know your own limits.

[Alex takes out her own device and shows the areas that she's filled in just by doing normal stuff.]

It's really that simple and that easy, and it honestly can be that fun the more people we get to play it and work on it! Thanks!

Okay, so the worst thing about being a kid for a few days is that you get to sleep like a kid for a few days. Which was pretty amazing. But now it's just making this whole lack of sleep thing all the more pronounced and I'm definitely not loving this.

So, I'm opening the floor for suggestions. Back home, I actually have a sleep specialist, but honestly she's not all that helpful. I do all the things I'm supposed to: no electronics for two hours before bedtime, progressive muscle relaxation, the "the" game, pot... Basically you name it and I've tried it.

But my world is limited in what it has, so I'm willing to try basically anything within reason at this point. Sleep potions? Spells? Weird tech? Whatever. Curious question. I've been here a year, and I realize, after all this time, that I am missing some people I never thought I would miss. In most ways, this place feels like home, but it's the absence of them that makes it not.

flowers are pretty but i always notice the way that they smell more than anything. i've heard that some people have this thing called allergies that makes them less enjoyable. maybe i wouldn't like them much then either, because your nose gets all stuff and food doesn't have much taste if you can't smell it.

other things that i like the smell of: grilled meat. even if it's not spiced, it still smells good. fresh cut herbs, because it brings back good memories. coffee, even if i don't think i'll ever like the taste of it. snow - someone once told me that snow doesn't really smell like anything but it does. oh, and babies. babies always smell good, except when they need a diaper change.

what's your favorite smell? is it something just from home or have you found it here too? or maybe there's one that you don't like. those scented candles never really smell like what they say on the jar to me.

and skunks really stink, but i think most people would agree on that.
